The fault lies in the parents if the children do not behave properly. After a certain age, children do not obey their parents, because parents themselves do not follow the right path.

There should be no difference of opinion between the father and the mother. They should be united in whatever they tell their children. In some families, mother and father differ in their direction to the children. Such lack of unity and understanding between the parents is not a good sign.

Both of them must stand on one word and teach their children the right path. First of all, they should teach their children to adhere to truth. It is enough if we follow the path of truth, because truth is the basis of everything.

Sathyannasti paro dharma (There is no dharma greater than adherence to truth). Peace originates from righteousness, and love manifests from peace. Where there is love, there is non-violence. If the nation has to attain peace and prosperity, we should follow the path of truth.

“Manasyekam vachasyekam karmanyekam mahatmanaam” (He is a noble soul whose thoughts, words, and deeds are in harmony). If your thought, word, and deed are at variance, it amounts to falsehood. Before we teach our children to adhere to truth, we should practise truth in our daily life. Only then can the children emulate us and become ideal.

Education is for an Exemplary life, not only for earning a degree, gaining a job, or receiving praise from society. True education should shape character, purify thoughts, strengthen discipline, and awaken compassion in the heart. A person may become highly qualified in the worldly sense, but if that knowledge does not lead to humility, service, truthfulness, and moral strength, then education remains incomplete.

Many people think education means collecting information from books, passing examinations, and building a successful career. These are important, but they are only one part of learning. Real education must teach a person how to live rightly. It should help us understand the value of honesty, patience, respect, responsibility, and love. Knowledge becomes meaningful only when it improves the way we think, speak, and act.

Education is for an Exemplary conduct in daily life. A truly educated person does not use knowledge to show superiority over others. Such a person uses knowledge to help, guide, and uplift. Education should remove ignorance, not increase pride. It should make the mind clear and the heart gentle. When learning creates arrogance, it loses its divine purpose. The foundation of good education is character. Character is built through repeated noble choices. Speaking truth, keeping promises, respecting elders, helping the weak, controlling anger, and doing duties sincerely are all signs of inner education. A person with strong character remains steady even when situations become difficult. Such a person does not change values for selfish benefit.

Education is for an Exemplary society also. A society cannot become great only through technology, buildings, wealth, or power. It becomes great when its people are moral, compassionate, disciplined, and responsible. If educated people become selfish, dishonest, and careless, society suffers. But when educated people live with values, they become leaders of peace, progress, and unity.

The heart must be included in education. The mind may learn facts, but the heart learns sympathy. The mind may calculate success, but the heart understands service. Without the education of the heart, knowledge can become dry and dangerous. A person may know many things, yet still hurt others through harsh speech, greed, or pride. Therefore, education must awaken both intelligence and compassion.

Education is for an Exemplary use of talent. Every person has some ability, but ability must be guided by values. A clever person without morality can misuse knowledge. A powerful person without compassion can create fear. A wealthy person without kindness can become selfish. Education should teach that every gift is meant to serve a higher purpose. Talent becomes sacred when it is used for the welfare of others.

Students should learn not only how to succeed, but also how to become good human beings. Competition may encourage effort, but it should not create jealousy and fear. Ambition is useful when it is joined with humility. Success is meaningful when it is joined with service. A student who learns discipline, gratitude, and respect along with academic subjects becomes truly prepared for life.

The air, water, trees, animals, and earth support our life. A truly educated person understands this connection and does not live carelessly. Respect for nature is also a form of moral education.

We are here to understand ourselves, control the mind, reduce ego, and live with divine remembrance. Prayer, silence, gratitude, and selfless service give depth to learning. A truly educated person remains humble. The more such a person learns, the more they understand the vastness of life. Humility keeps knowledge pure. It protects the mind from pride and keeps the heart open to continuous growth. Learning should never stop with age, position, or achievement. Life itself remains a teacher for the sincere seeker.
