हिंदी अर्थ: जिनके कण्ठ में फण फैलाए हुए नाग तथा अनेक सर्प सुशोभित हैं, जिनके गले में मुण्डों की माला है और जो महान वीर एवं पराक्रमी हैं, उनका मैं भजन करता हूँ। जिनकी कटि पर व्याघ्रचर्म है और जिनका शरीर चिता की भस्म से लेपित है, मैं उन पार्वतीवल्लभ नीलकण्ठ की आराधना करता हूँ।

English Meaning: I worship Nīlakaṇṭha, the beloved of Pārvatī, whose neck is adorned with hooded serpents and many other snakes, and whose throat bears a garland of skulls. He is the great hero and mighty Lord, wearing tiger skin around His waist and covering His body with the sacred ash of the cremation fire.

English Meaning: I worship Nīlakaṇṭha, the beloved of Pārvatī, who bears the sacred Gaṅgā upon His head, with Śivā, Pārvatī, at His left side. His hair is vast and flowing, He is eternally three-eyed, serpents adorn His ears, and the crescent moon always shines upon His forehead.

karē śūladhāraṃ mahākaṣṭanāśaṃ
surēśaṃ parēśaṃ mahēśaṃ janēśam ।

जो विघ्नों के निवास-स्थान को दूर करने वाले हैं, जिनके विशाल गण्डस्थल पर सिंदूर के समान अरुण आभा से युक्त और चंद्रकिरणों को भी ढक देने वाली सर्प-शोभा सुशोभित है, जो श्री विघ्नेश्वर के प्रिय हैं और गिरिजा माता के साथ आनंदित रहते हैं, जिनका मुस्कुराता हुआ मुख धुंडिराज को प्रसन्न करता है, वे हमें सदैव मंगल प्रदान करें। इस पद में पाठभेद के रूप में “विश्वेश्वर” भी मिलता है।

हे वाराणसी के स्वामी! आपके पुत्र गणेश समस्त लोगों के विघ्नों का नाश करने में समर्थ हैं। आपकी पत्नी अन्नपूर्णा निरंतर लोगों को अन्नदान करने में लगी रहती हैं। आप स्वयं सभी याचकों और दुःखी जनों का कल्याण करने वाले तथा उन्हें सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए प्रसिद्ध हैं। अतः हे प्रभु, हमें शुभ प्रभात प्रदान कीजिए।

हे वाराणसी के स्वामी! जो लोग आपको प्रणाम नहीं करते, आपका जप नहीं करते, आपकी स्तुति नहीं करते, आपके विषय में कुछ कहते या प्रार्थना करते हुए अपनी बात निवेदित नहीं करते, उन अज्ञानवश बालक के समान बुद्धि वाले मनुष्यों के लिए भी आप शुभ प्रभात और ज्ञान का प्रकाश प्रदान कीजिए।

English Meaning:
O Lord of Vārāṇasī, bless even those people who do not bow to You, do not chant Your name, do not praise You, and do not express their prayers before You. For those whose understanding remains like that of an uninformed child, may You bring an auspicious dawn and the light of wisdom.

O Śrīkaṇṭha, O Nīlakaṇṭha, who wears a serpent upon Your throat! Hosts of devoted and yearning devotees gather near You and seek Your presence. Your entire body shines with the sacred application of holy ash. O Lord of Vārāṇasī, bless us with an auspicious morning.

dugdha-pravāha-kamanīya-taraṅga-bhaṅgē
puṇya-pravāha-paripāvita-bhakta-saṅgē ।
nityaṃ tapasvi-jana-sēvita-pāda-padmē
gaṅgē śaraṇya-śivadē kuru suprabhātam ॥

हे गंगे! आपके दूध के समान पवित्र प्रवाह की मनोहर तरंगें शोभायमान हैं। आपके पुण्यमय प्रवाह से भक्तों का समूह पवित्र होता है। आपके चरण-कमलों की तपस्वीजन नित्य सेवा करते हैं। हे शरण देने वाली और कल्याण प्रदान करने वाली माता गंगे, हमें शुभ प्रभात प्रदान कीजिए।

English Meaning:
O Ganga, whose beautiful waves flow like a stream of pure milk, whose sacred current purifies gatherings of devotees, and whose lotus-like presence is eternally revered by ascetics, O giver of refuge and auspiciousness, bless us with a divine and auspicious morning.

sānandamānanda-vanē vasantaṃ ānanda-kandaṃ hata-pāpa-vṛndam ।
vārāṇasī-nāthamanātha-nāthaṃ śrīviśvanāthaṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadyē ॥

मैं उन श्री विश्वनाथ की शरण ग्रहण करता हूँ, जो आनंदवन में आनंदपूर्वक निवास करते हैं, जो परम आनंद के मूल स्रोत हैं, जो समस्त पापों के समूह का नाश करने वाले हैं और जो अनाथों के भी नाथ, अर्थात् असहायों के परम आश्रय हैं। वे वाराणसी के स्वामी श्री विश्वनाथ हैं।
