Vedanta Darshan is one of the six classical schools of Indian philosophy and is traditionally based on the teachings of Maharishi Vyasa and the Brahma Sutras . The word Vedanta means “the end of the Vedas” and refers to the philosophical teachings found mainly in the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and Brahma Sutras.
Vedanta Darshan focuses on important questions about Brahman, the individual Self (Atman), the world, knowledge, and liberation (Moksha) . It teaches that understanding the true nature of the Self and the Supreme Reality is essential for overcoming ignorance and suffering.
The tradition explores the relationship between Atman and Brahman and explains different paths toward spiritual realization. These include knowledge (Jnana ), devotion (Bhakti ), meditation, and righteous living. Different Vedanta schools, such as Advaita, Vishishtadvaita, and Dvaita , explain the relationship between the individual soul, God, and the world in different ways.
Vedanta Darshan has had a deep influence on Indian spiritual thought and continues to guide people in their search for self-knowledge and inner peace. Its central purpose is to help a person understand reality, overcome ignorance, and move toward Moksha .
