Assert your Godhead
Dear Nanjundaiah! Accept my blessings.
The best method of spreading Vedanta philosophy is to live it. There is no other royal road.
Live in GOD. All is right. Make others live in GOD. All shall be well. Believe this truth, you will be saved.
In the lowest worm as well as in the highest human being the same divine nature is present. The worm is the lowest form in which the divinity has been more over shadowed by Maya; that (human being) is the highest form in which it has been least overshadowed. Behind everything, the same divinity is existing and out of this comes the basis of morality.
Assert your GOD head. Fling into utter oblivion the little bubble bursts, it finds itself, the whole ocean. You are the whole, the infinite, the All.
You are Divinity itself; the holy of Holies. The world is no world. You are the All in All, the supreme power which no words can describe; nobody or mind. You are the pure ‘I am’. That you are. Heaven is within you. Seek happiness not in the object of senses. Realize that happiness is within yourself.
With Blessings

Assert your Godhead – A Divine Reflection On Inner Divinity And Self-Realization
Assert your Godhead is a powerful spiritual theme that reminds every seeker to recognize the divine truth within. Human life is often spent in fear, doubt, weakness, comparison, and attachment to the body and mind. But the deeper teaching of spirituality is that man is not merely a limited being. Within every heart shines the eternal presence of God, pure, peaceful, and full of love.
To assert one’s Godhead does not mean to become proud or arrogant. It does not mean saying, “I am greater than others.” Real Godhead is free from ego. It means understanding that the true Self is divine, and the same divinity exists in all beings. This realization creates humility, compassion, and unity, not superiority.
Assert your Godhead teaches that the body is temporary, the mind is changeable, and worldly positions are passing. Today there may be praise, tomorrow criticism. Today there may be success, tomorrow failure. If we identify only with outer life, we remain restless. But when we remember the divine Self within, we gain inner strength and balance.
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba often taught that every human being is an embodiment of the Divine. He reminded devotees that the purpose of life is to realize this truth and live accordingly. If God is within, then our thoughts should be pure, our words should be kind, and our actions should be selfless. Divine awareness must become divine conduct.
Assert your Godhead also means rising above weakness. Many people repeatedly say, “I am helpless, I am sinful, I am weak, I cannot change.” Such thoughts reduce inner strength. Spiritual wisdom encourages us to remember, “I am not the slave of anger, fear, ego, or desire. I am the child of God. I can choose truth, love, and purity.”
This awareness gives courage during difficulty. Problems may come, but they need not destroy peace. When the devotee remembers the divine power within, fear becomes lighter and faith becomes stronger. The same God who guides the universe is present as conscience, strength, and love in the heart. This truth brings confidence without pride.
Assert your Godhead becomes meaningful when it transforms daily life. If we speak about divinity but continue to hurt others, act selfishly, or live carelessly, then the teaching remains only words. True realization should make us more loving, disciplined, forgiving, and helpful. The proof of inner divinity is noble character.
The divine Self is covered by ignorance, ego, and attachment, just as the sun may be hidden by clouds. The sun does not lose its light; it is only covered for a time. In the same way, our divine nature remains pure, but it is hidden by anger, jealousy, pride, greed, and fear. Spiritual practice removes these coverings.
Assert your Godhead also teaches the importance of self-confidence rooted in God. Ordinary confidence may depend on talent, wealth, education, or support from others. Spiritual confidence comes from knowing that the Divine is within. Such confidence remains steady even when outer support changes. It helps the seeker continue with faith and patience.
Prayer, meditation, bhajan, service, and self-examination are practical ways to awaken this inner truth. Prayer connects the heart with grace. Meditation quietens the mind. Bhajan purifies emotions. Service removes selfishness. Self-examination helps us correct mistakes. Together, these practices help the divine light shine more clearly.
Assert your Godhead finally reminds us to see divinity in others also. If God is within us, He is within everyone. This understanding removes hatred and narrowness. We cannot truly honor our own divinity while disrespecting the divinity in another. Love, respect, and service become natural when we see all beings as forms of God.
In the end, this teaching is a call to awaken from spiritual forgetfulness. We are not born only to live in fear, desire, and limitation. We are born to realize the divine Self and express it through love, truth, peace, and service. When a person asserts Godhead with humility and lives by that truth, life becomes sacred, powerful, and filled with divine grace.
