Aura of Divinity
In 1979, he came to India to make a study of aura of holy men in the country. Inevitably, his travels brought him to Baba, who was then in Bangalore. At the time Baronowski reached Whitefield, a course arranged by Baba for school teachers was in progress. Baronowski heard about this and was naturally keen to speak in the conference, sharing his numerous experiences. Baba knew about this and in His own way made it possible. But first, Baronowski had to see something he had never seen before!
The Professor’s first glimpse of Swami was during the early morning Darshan. In those days, Swami used to give Darshan at the conclusion of the Nagarsankeertan, the early morning prayer/Bhajan procession that one can see to this day in Prasanti Nilayam. Baronowski was stunned by what he saw – Baba’s aura was simply out of this world. He saw it again and again – during the morning Darshan and the afternoon Darshan. He saw how this extra-ordinary aura enveloped one and all, believers and non-believers alike, those who were directly looking at Him and those whose attention was wandering. Later, Baronowski was given the opportunity to speak during the conference proceedings, in the immediate presence of Bhagavan Baba. Here is an extract of what he said:
I have met over a hundred holy men in India. Too many of these holy men are involved in their own personal egos. Their auras show mostly concern for themselves and their institutions. So, the auras are only about 25 cm. broad or perhaps 50 cm. I am not a devotee of Sai Baba. I have come here as a scientist, to see this man Sai Baba.
I saw Him on Sunday, on the balcony giving Darshan to devotees below. The aura that Baba projected was not that of a man. The white was more than twice the size of any man’s, the blue was practically limitless, and there were gold and silver bands beyond even those, far beyond this building, right up to the horizon. There is no scientific explanation for this phenomenon.
His aura is so strong that it is affecting me standing by the chair on which He is sitting. I can feel the effect and I have to wipe my arm, off and on, as you must have noticed. It is very difficult for me to admit. I am a scientist. I have given over six thousand lectures in all parts of the world, but this is the first time, believe me, my knees are shaking. The aura that emanates from Baba shows His Love for you. I have met any number of holy men, but none of them have made themselves as available to you as Baba does. That is a sign of greatness.
Baba has given you the key to success – the simple four-lettered word: LOVE! If ever I can use the phrase that I have seen Love walking on two feet, it is here.
I have been watching Baba, while He was addressing you. The pink aura that was manifesting was so vast and strong that it went even to the hall behind this chair. It filled the big hall, embracing all of you here. There can be no scientific explanation for this phenomenon. I have watched Him for a week now as He walked among you, morning and evening. I have seen this aura, pink in colour, go into the person He is talking to or touching. This is because we draw on His energy. His energy seems to be limitless. It spreads everywhere and can be drawn upon by everyone around. An ordinary man will soon get exhausted going round as He does, among so many. I have watched Him come to a little girl, in a wheel chair and tickle her. I was astounded at the aura of Love that was all around Him then.
I have spoken on platforms where President Ford of the United States, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Queen Wilhelmina of Netherlands have been present, but I will never forget this experience! It is really overwhelming in its impact.
Aura of Divinity – A Divine Light Of Love, Peace, And Grace
Aura of Divinity is a beautiful spiritual thought that reminds us of the invisible power of purity, love, and divine presence. Divinity is not always seen through the eyes; it is often felt in the heart. When a person comes close to a truly holy presence, the mind becomes calm, the heart becomes soft, and the soul feels touched by something higher than ordinary life. This sacred feeling is the gentle radiance of divine love.
In daily life, people are surrounded by many kinds of energies. Some people spread peace, while others create tension. Some words heal, while some words hurt. A divine presence is different because it uplifts without effort. It does not force, demand, or disturb. It simply shines. The light of divinity gives courage to the weak, comfort to the sorrowful, and hope to those who feel lost.
Aura of Divinity can be understood as the spiritual fragrance that comes from a pure heart. Just as a flower spreads fragrance naturally, a noble soul spreads peace through thoughts, words, and actions. Such a person may not need to speak much. Their silence itself gives strength. Their smile brings comfort. Their presence reminds others that goodness still exists in the world.
True divinity is not limited to temples, churches, mosques, scriptures, or rituals. These are sacred paths that help us remember God, but the real temple is the human heart. When the heart is filled with compassion, truth, humility, and selfless love, divine light begins to shine from within. A person who lives with purity becomes a living place of worship. Wherever such a person goes, peace follows.
Aura of Divinity also teaches that spiritual greatness is not measured by outer appearance. A person may wear simple clothes, live quietly, and avoid attention, yet carry deep inner power. On the other hand, someone may speak loudly about spirituality but lack kindness in daily life. The real sign of divinity is transformation. It makes a person more loving, patient, forgiving, and helpful.
The presence of divine energy can be felt most clearly through love. Love is the language of the soul. It does not need wealth, education, or status. A kind word, a caring glance, a helping hand, and a forgiving heart can reveal divine beauty. When love becomes pure and selfless, it no longer belongs only to one person or family. It expands toward all beings.
Aura of Divinity inspires us to look beyond the body and recognize the soul within everyone. Most conflicts arise because people see only differences. They divide others by religion, caste, language, wealth, nationality, and opinions. But divine vision sees unity. It understands that the same light of God exists in every heart. When this truth is accepted, hatred slowly disappears and compassion becomes natural.
A divine life is not free from challenges. Even spiritual people face pain, criticism, loss, and difficulties. The difference is that they do not allow suffering to make them bitter. They turn every experience into a lesson. Pain teaches patience, failure teaches humility, and struggle teaches surrender. Through faith, even difficult moments become steps toward inner growth.
Aura of Divinity is also connected with service. A person who truly feels God within cannot ignore the suffering of others. Service becomes a natural expression of devotion. Feeding the hungry, helping the poor, guiding children, caring for the sick, respecting elders, and comforting the lonely are all sacred acts. When service is done without ego, it becomes worship.
Many people search for peace in the outside world. They think peace will come through success, money, comfort, or recognition. These may give temporary happiness, but lasting peace comes only from inner purity. A restless mind cannot enjoy even the best surroundings. A pure mind can remain peaceful even in simple conditions. Divinity begins to shine when desires are controlled and the heart becomes content.
Aura of Divinity reminds us that words have power. A divine person uses speech to bless, encourage, and guide. They do not enjoy gossip, insult, or harsh criticism. Their words carry sweetness because they come from a loving heart. In ordinary life also, we can practice this by speaking gently, avoiding unnecessary anger, and choosing words that heal rather than wound.
Humility is another important sign of divine presence. True spiritual people do not show pride in their goodness. They do not think, “I am greater than others.” Instead, they feel grateful for every opportunity to serve. Ego separates man from God, while humility brings him closer. A humble heart becomes open to grace, and grace makes life sacred.
The divine aura also grows through prayer, meditation, and remembrance of God. When the mind turns toward higher thoughts, it becomes less disturbed by worldly noise. Prayer gives strength, meditation gives clarity, and remembrance gives comfort. Slowly, the heart becomes peaceful. This peace then spreads to family, friends, and society.
Aura of Divinity finally teaches that every human being has the potential to shine with divine qualities. We do not need to wait for a special day to become better. Every moment gives a chance to choose love over anger, truth over falsehood, forgiveness over revenge, and service over selfishness. When we live with purity and compassion, divine light naturally begins to radiate from within.
In the end, divinity is not far away. It is hidden within the heart, waiting to be awakened through love, faith, and noble living. A life filled with kindness becomes a blessing to the world. A heart filled with peace becomes a lamp for others. When thoughts are pure, words are gentle, and actions are selfless, the sacred Aura of Divinity shines beautifully through human life.
