pratibhaṭaśrēṇibhīṣaṇa varaguṇastōmabhūṣaṇa
janibhayasthānatāraṇa jagadavasthānakāraṇa ।
nikhiladuṣkarmakarśana nigamasaddharmadarśana
jaya jaya śrīsudarśana jaya jaya śrīsudarśana ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप शत्रुओं की विशाल सेनाओं के लिए अत्यंत भयंकर हैं और श्रेष्ठ गुणों के समूह से विभूषित हैं। आप जन्म-मरण के भय से जीवों को पार कराने वाले और समस्त जगत की व्यवस्था के कारणस्वरूप हैं। आप सभी दुष्कर्मों का नाश करने वाले तथा वेदों द्वारा प्रतिपादित सच्चे धर्म का दर्शन कराने वाले हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो, आपकी जय हो!

English Meaning:
O Sri Sudarshana! You are terrifying to the vast ranks of enemies and adorned with an abundance of noble virtues. You carry beings beyond the fear of worldly birth and existence and are the cause behind the order of the universe. You destroy all sinful deeds and reveal the righteous path taught by the Vedas. Victory, victory to Sri Sudarshana!

śubhajagadrūpamaṇḍana surajanatrāsakhaṇḍana
śatamakhabrahmavandita śatapathabrahmanandita ।
prathitavidvatsapakṣita bhajadahirbudhnyalakṣita

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप शुभमय जगत के अलंकार हैं और देवजनों के भय का नाश करने वाले हैं। इन्द्र तथा ब्रह्मा द्वारा वंदित और शतपथ ब्राह्मण में महिमामंडित हैं। विद्वानों द्वारा प्रसिद्ध रूप से पूजित तथा आपकी उपासना करने वालों द्वारा अहिर्बुध्न्य रूप में लक्षित किए जाते हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

English Meaning:
O Sri Sudarshana! You are the ornament of the auspicious universe and the destroyer of the fears of the celestial beings. You are revered by Indra and Brahma and glorified in the Shatapatha Brahmana. Celebrated among learned devotees, You are recognized by those who worship You as Ahirbudhnya. Victory, victory to Sri Sudarshana!

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप अपने चरणों में प्रसन्न रहने वाले श्रेष्ठ भक्तों से प्रिय हैं और बिना किसी बाधा के विकसित होने वाले छह दिव्य गुणों से सम्पन्न हैं। आपकी महिमा वेदों में प्रतिष्ठित है और आपकी तथा भगवान हरि की दिव्य व्यूह-शक्ति की महिमा महान है। आप भगवान हरि के अश्वस्वरूप शत्रुओं का विनाश करने वाले और शत्रुओं के नगरों को भस्म करने में समर्थ हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

English Meaning:
O Sri Sudarshana! You are beloved of the noble devotees who delight in Your divine feet and are endowed with six boundless auspicious qualities. Your glory is established in the Vedas, and Your divine glory as a manifestation of Lord Hari is immeasurable. You destroy the enemies of Hari and are capable of burning the cities of His foes. sphuṭataṭijjālapiñjara pṛthutarajvālapañjara
parigatapratnavigraha parimitaprajñadurgraha ।
praharaṇagrāmamaṇḍita parijanatrāṇapaṇḍita

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप चमकती हुई बिजली की जालियों के समान प्रकाशित और विशाल अग्निज्वालाओं से घिरे हुए हैं। आपका दिव्य स्वरूप प्राचीन और महान रहस्यमय शक्ति से युक्त है, जिसे सीमित बुद्धि से समझना कठिन है। आप अनेक दिव्य अस्त्र-शस्त्रों से सुशोभित हैं और अपने भक्तों तथा सेवकों की रक्षा करने में अत्यंत कुशल हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

O Sri Sudarshana! You shine like a network of flashing lightning and are surrounded by vast circles of blazing flames. Your divine form is ancient and possesses profound mysteries beyond the grasp of limited understanding. Adorned with an array of divine weapons, You are supremely skilled in protecting Your devotees and attendants. Victory, victory to Sri Sudarshana!

हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप समस्त लोकों के नेत्रस्वरूप हैं और तीनों वेदों के तेज से परिपूर्ण हैं। आप अनंत, मधुर और शुद्ध चैतन्यस्वरूप हैं तथा समस्त शक्तियों से व्याप्त हैं। आप अनंत विश्व-क्रियाओं के आधार हैं और संसार के सभी भय को शांत करने वाले हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

English Meaning:
O Sri Sudarshana! You are the eye of all the worlds and are filled with the radiance of the three Vedas. You are infinite, blissful and composed of pure consciousness, pervading all divine powers. हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप समस्त मंगल और ऐश्वर्य प्रदान करने वाले पवित्र अक्षर-मंत्रस्वरूप हैं और छह अक्षरों वाले दिव्य मंत्र से प्रतिष्ठित हैं। आप छह आरों वाले चक्र में प्रतिष्ठित हैं तथा समस्त तत्त्वों में प्रतिष्ठित हैं। आप विभिन्न संकल्पों को पूर्ण करने वाले और देवताओं तथा ज्ञानीजनों के शुभ संकल्पों को सफल बनाने वाले हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

O Sri Sudarshana! You are the sacred syllabic embodiment of auspiciousness and prosperity and are established through the six-syllabled divine mantra. You are established in the six-spoked discus and in all fundamental principles of existence. You fulfill various righteous intentions and bring the noble aspirations of the wise and celestial beings to fruition. Victory, victory to Sri Sudarshana!

vikaṭamālāpariṣkṛta vividhamāyābahiṣkṛta ।
sthiramahāyantrayantrita dṛḍhadayātantrayantrita

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप अपने प्रत्येक मुख की दिव्य मुद्रा से मनोहर हैं और महान अस्त्रों से अत्यंत प्रचण्ड एवं भयंकर स्वरूप वाले हैं। आप विशाल और अद्भुत मालाओं से सुशोभित हैं तथा विभिन्न प्रकार की मायाओं से परे हैं। आप दृढ़ एवं महान यंत्रों द्वारा प्रतिष्ठित और नियंत्रित हैं तथा अटल दिव्य शक्ति एवं करुणा के तंत्र से संचालित हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

danujavistārakartana danujavidyāvikartana
janitamisrāvikartana bhajadavidyānikartana ।
amaradṛṣṭasvavikrama samarajuṣṭabhramikrama
jaya jaya śrīsudarśana jaya jaya śrīsudarśana ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे श्री सुदर्शन! आप दानवों की बढ़ती शक्ति और विस्तार का विनाश करने वाले हैं तथा उनकी मायावी विद्याओं को नष्ट करने वाले हैं। आप अज्ञान से उत्पन्न अंधकार को दूर करते हैं और आपकी भक्ति करने वालों के अज्ञान का भी नाश करते हैं। देवताओं द्वारा देखे गए आपके अद्भुत पराक्रम से आप युद्धभूमि में अपने महान और चमत्कारिक अभियान द्वारा शत्रुओं का विनाश करते हैं। हे श्री सुदर्शन, आपकी जय हो!

English Meaning:
O Sri Sudarshana! You destroy the growing power and expansion of the demons and shatter their occult and destructive knowledge. You remove the darkness born of ignorance and destroy the ignorance of those who worship You. Your extraordinary valor is witnessed by the gods, and Your wondrous movements in battle bring victory over the forces of evil. Victory, victory to Sri Sudarshana!

dvichatuṣkamidaṃ prabhūtasāraṃ
paṭhatāṃ vēṅkaṭanāyakapraṇītam ।
viṣamē’pi manōrathaḥ pradhāvan
na vihanyēta rathāṅgadhuryaguptaḥ ॥ 9 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
वेदान्ताचार्य श्री वेङ्कटनायक द्वारा रचित यह अत्यंत सारगर्भित अष्टक जो व्यक्ति श्रद्धापूर्वक पढ़ता है, उसके मनोरथ कठिन परिस्थितियों में भी बाधित नहीं होते। श्री सुदर्शन चक्र की श्रेष्ठ और दिव्य शक्ति से सुरक्षित व्यक्ति के शुभ संकल्प सफल होते हैं।

English Meaning:
This highly meaningful hymn of eight verses, composed by Sri Vedanta Desika, is of great spiritual significance.
