English Meaning
Om. Salutations to Bhagavan Sadashiva, who is the essence of all principles, the embodiment of all mantras, the indwelling power of all yantras, the essence of all tantras, and beyond every principle. He manifests as Brahma and Rudra, is Nilakantha, beloved of Parvati, bears the Moon, Sun, and Fire as His eyes, is covered with sacred ash, wears a magnificent jeweled crown, and is adorned with ruby ornaments.

He assumes His fierce form at the time of creation, preservation, and cosmic dissolution, destroys Daksha’s sacrifice, transcends even Mahakala, dwells at the Muladhara, and is beyond all tattvas. He is Gangadhara, the Supreme God of all Devas, the essence of Vedanta, the means to the threefold aims of life—dharma, artha, and kama—and the Lord of countless millions of universes.

He is adorned with the eight great Nagas—Ananta, Vasuki, Takshaka, Karkotaka, Shankha, Kulika, Padma, and Mahapadma. He is the embodiment of the Pranava, Om; the consciousness-space, Chidakasha; the essence of the sky and directions; and the bearer of the garland of planets and stars. He is all-encompassing and completely free from blemish. He alone is the creator, sustainer, and dissolver of all worlds, their Guru and their witness. He is the profound secret of the Vedas, the master of Vedanta, the giver of boons to all worlds, the benefactor of creation, the destroyer of suffering, and the giver of fearlessness to the entire universe.

He is Chandrashekhara, eternally established in His own divine abode; formless, beyond worldly appearance, free from disease, pure, free from greed, pride, anxiety, and ego, without restraint, stainless, beyond the three gunas, and desireless. He is free from disturbance, faultless, eternal, free from affliction, causeless, fearless, beyond worldly manifestation, unattached, beyond dualities, independent, free from passion, anger, and sin, beyond conceptual distinctions, non-dual, and actionless.

He is incomparable, free from doubt, stainless, and possessed of immeasurable glory. He is eternally pure, awakened, liberated, complete, and the non-dual reality of Sat-Chit-Ananda—existence, consciousness, and bliss. He is the embodiment of supreme peace, the radiance of supreme peace, the essence of divine brilliance, the embodiment of light, and the Lord of all radiance.

Victory, victory to Rudra, Mahārudra, the greatly fierce One, the auspicious Avatar, Mahabhairava, Kalabhairava, and Kalpantabhairava. Salutations to the bearer of the garland of skulls, the wielder of the Khatvanga, hide, and sword, and the terrifying Lord who holds the noose, goad, Damaru, trident, bow, arrows, mace, divine weapons, Bhindipala, Tomara, club, Bhushundi, Mudgara, noose, Parigha, Shataghnī, discus, and many other formidable weapons.
