Salutations to Gopāla, Puruṣottama, Lord of the Gopīs, the Supreme Light, Lord of Vaikuṇṭha, the imperishable One, the nectar-like Lord, the foremost of the Yādavas, eternally youthful, and the embodiment of the four Vedas.

Salutations to the Lord who granted a boon to Ākāśarāja, who dwells in the lotus-hearts of yogis, who is Dāmodara, protector of the universe, destroyer of sins, affectionate toward devotees, Trivikrama, the Śiṃśumāra form, adorned with a crown of matted locks, and beautifully decorated with a basket-like ornament bearing melodious little bells.
