mōhāndhakāranivahaṃ vinihantumīḍē
mūkātmanāmapi mahākavitāvadānyān ।

मैं उन करुणामयी दृष्टियों की स्तुति करता हूँ, जो मोह के घने अंधकार के समूह को नष्ट कर देती हैं और मूक स्वभाव वाले लोगों को भी महान काव्य-प्रतिभा प्रदान करने में उदार हैं। वे श्रीकाञ्ची क्षेत्र को शीतल और पवित्र करने वाली तथा एकाम्रनाथ की तरुणी देवी की करुणामयी दृष्टियाँ हैं।

I adore the compassionate glances of the young Goddess of Ekāmranātha, which destroy the dense darkness of delusion, generously bestow great poetic eloquence even upon the speechless, and sanctify and cool the sacred land of Kāñchī.

nindāṅkurō vidalitōtpalachāturīṇām ।
dīpāṅkurō bhavatamisrakadambakānāṃ

English Meaning:
O Kāmākṣī! May Your sidelong glance protect me. It destroys the sprout of pride in Cupid’s charms, surpasses the beauty of fully blossomed lotuses, and shines like a lamp before the masses of darkness that constitute worldly ignorance.

kaivalyadivyamaṇirōhaṇaparvatēbhyaḥ
kāruṇyanirjharapayaḥkṛtamañjanēbhyaḥ ।
kāmākṣi kiṅkaritaśaṅkaramānasēbhya-
stēbhyō namō’stu tava vīkṣaṇavibhramēbhyaḥ ॥86॥

English Meaning:
O Kāmākṣī! Salutations to the playful movements of Your glance, which are like divine jewel-bearing mountains of liberation, anointed by the waters of the streams of compassion, and which have even made Śaṅkara’s mind their servant.

mīnasya vā saraṇiramburuhāṃ cha kiṃ vā ।
dūrē mṛgīdṛgasamañjasamañjanaṃ cha

हे अम्बा कामाक्षी! आपकी दृष्टि की शोभा के सामने नया खिला हुआ नीलकमल भी फीका लगता है। मछली की गति और कमल की सुंदरता भी उसके सामने कम प्रतीत होती है। हिरणी के नेत्रों का सौंदर्य भी उससे दूर है। हम आपकी दृष्टि की तुलना के लिए कोई उचित उपमा ही नहीं पाते।

English Meaning:
O Mother Kāmākṣī! Before the beauty of Your glance, even a fresh blue lotus seems inferior. The graceful movement of a fish and the beauty of a lotus also fall short. Even the eyes of a doe are far from being an adequate comparison. We find no suitable analogy for the radiance of Your glance.

chūtāṭavīṣu budhakōkilalālyamānam ।
mādhvīrasaṃ parimalaṃ cha nirargalaṃ tē

O Kāmākṣī! The spring-like beauty of Your glance causes learned people to blossom with fresh and eloquent expressions. It spreads freely like the sweetness and fragrance of honey in mango groves nurtured by wise cuckoos.

sārasvataṃ sukṛtinaḥ sulabhaṃ pravāham ।
tuchChīkarōti yamunāmbutaraṅgabhaṅgīṃ

O Kāmākṣī! What can compare with the great cloud of Your glance? Pouring the waters of compassion, it makes the vast stream of Sarasvatī-like knowledge and eloquence easily accessible to the virtuous. It makes even the waves of the Yamunā appear insignificant.

dākrāmati śrutimasau tava dṛṣṭipātaḥ ।
kiñcha sphuṭaṃ kuṭilatāṃ prakaṭīkarōti

O Kāmākṣī! Because Your glance belongs to the same family as the beautiful blue lotus, it seems to surpass even its beauty and reaches the very limits of perception. O Daughter of the King of Mountains, Śrī Kāmakoṭi! The beauty of Your eyes is like a shower of sharp arrows from the weapon of Cupid. I feel that it breaks the seal of firmness in the heart of the Moon-crested Lord into hundreds of pieces.

bāṇēna puṣpadhanuṣaḥ parikalpyamāna-
trāṇēna bhaktamanasāṃ karuṇākarēṇa ।
kōṇēna kōmaladṛśastava kāmakōṭi

chañchatsitaśravaṇachāmarachāturīkaḥ ।
stambhē nirantaramapāṅgamayē bhavatyā

kākōlahāri sulabhaṃ sumanōbhirētat ।
pīyūṣamēva tava vīkṣaṇamamba kintu
kāmākṣi nīlamidamityayamēva bhēdaḥ ॥99॥

हे अम्बा कामाक्षी! आपकी दृष्टि अत्यंत शीतल है, कर्मों के भयंकर विष के फल को नष्ट करने वाली है और शुभ हृदय वाले लोगों के लिए सहज उपलब्ध है। वास्तव में आपकी दृष्टि अमृत ही है; इसमें और अमृत में केवल इतना अंतर है कि आपकी दृष्टि नीलवर्ण की है।

O Mother Kāmākṣī! Your glance is exceedingly cooling, destroys the dreadful poison produced by accumulated karma, and is easily accessible to those of pure hearts. Indeed, Your glance is nectar itself; the only difference is that Your nectar-like glance is blue.

matyantagarvamanadhītasamastaśāstram ।
aprāptasatyamasamīpagataṃ cha muktēḥ
