Calling For Cosmic Harmony…

With the spirit of Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana on… how crucially important it is to take up the revised Cosmic MahaMantra, Born Of Bhagawan, as a way of life… before moving forward. A beautiful presentation on the Cosmic ‘Liberatory’ Theme called ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’ by ‘The Prasanthi Reporter’. (Script, Concept and Voice by ‘Mother Sai Poet’ Sri Jullie Chaudhuri for The Prasanthi Reporter.)
Dear Sisters and Brothers…Loving Loving Sai Ram…Peace of the soul and Harmony for all! We are here to hear and connect to a distinctly selfless mantra. Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu.
As we have all seen, heard, read and witnessed our Beloved Bhagawan’s teachings and the examples set by Him, the welfare of all beings is what He stresses on…Consequently, on 31st August 2008, Bhagawan modified ‘Lokah Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu’ which interprets as – May all the beings in this world be happy and peaceful… to now be intoned as – Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu …that it may exude peace for all the beings in all the worlds.
Is it not imperative then that we chant this mantra for Universal peace?
As we keep chanting this, the mantra becomes ‘us’ – universal seva. The bonus is that along with peace, this revives a feeling of brotherhood, camaraderie and the chorus of kindred oneness.
Beings of light did spring forth from the silence deep within the Lord’s heart and so we are all connected and never apart…for those beings are us all…
Many are the challenges faced by the individual, the society, and the world, and this is having serious repercussions on and is a constant threat to Mother Earth…a threat that is gathering enormous momentum…

We need to come together and help heal the world… Thus, ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’, which is a Universal Prayer beyond boundaries of personal beliefs, will benefit all – from unseen beings to those seen…from mortals to animals to plants and trees…to marine life to birds to rivers, mountains and rocks…all the planets, all the lokaas…to every speck in the cosmos. It has such a magnified effect, that not only will it encompass Mother Earth, but will also take in the whole Universe into its fold – an embrace of Cosmic proportions – A Cosmic Embrace… ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’ engulfs the elements five – Space, Air, Fire, Water, Earth and brings about a balance ever so harmonious. Beloved Mother Sai, You always exhort us to adhere to Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa. And through this chant, You, Beloved One, are teaching us to link Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and thereby…evolve into Ahimsa. Oh! Mother Sai, You are the Creator and the welfare of Your Creation is what pleases You the most. Accept our prayer, Dearest One, that we may make this chant –‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’ – our very breath and feel deeply for all living beings.Let our lives be Your message…and Your compassion our mission…through this chant, which is luminous in nature, prolific in its reach and propitious, wholesome and divine in character. You, Sweet Mother Sai, have always stressed that we chant ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’, accordingly, we now desire to make it our way of life, as it will make us go away from the ‘I’ to ‘We’ and finally into ‘You’…Oh Cherished Mother Sai. To those of you listening to these lines just now, you are at the right place at the right time…for it is vitally essential that we chant this mantra for Universal Peace – both individually and collectively. And we have to start now. Sit where you are, chant ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’ and embrace the Cosmos, all sentient and insentient beings…without moving an inch. The vibrations released by chanting it together will reach the Lord’s Heart and His bliss will reach us all, for what pleases Him is that we unite and live together in peace and harmony. Let us help heal the world that our children will inherit… ‘Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu’…will help you reach the real you… Your life can then be a fragrant offering at the Lotus Feet of Beloved Mother Sai… Dear Listener…we present variations of this mantra for all the beings in samastha lokahs…may your being resonate with each variation…may peace resound in the cosmos within you, may there be harmony around you…and may tranquillity surround you…for you are the Universe…and the Universe is You! II Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu II
Calling For Cosmic Harmony – A Prayer for Unity in All Creation
Calling For Cosmic Harmony is a noble thought that invites the human heart to rise above selfishness and feel its connection with the whole universe. Harmony is not only needed between people; it is needed between thoughts, words, actions, nature, society, and the Divine. When there is balance within the individual, peace begins to spread into the family, community, and world.
Human beings often think of themselves as separate from others. We divide life through religion, language, nation, status, opinion, and personal desire. These divisions become dangerous when love is forgotten. The truth is that all beings share the same air, the same earth, the same sun, and the same divine source. When one part of creation suffers, the whole fabric of life is affected.
Calling For Cosmic Harmony reminds us that peace in the world begins with peace in the mind. A restless mind creates restless words. Restless words create conflict. Conflict creates pain in homes, workplaces, and society. If we want harmony outside, we must first reduce anger, jealousy, pride, hatred, and greed within ourselves. Inner purification is the foundation of universal peace.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba taught that love is the basis of all spiritual life. Love is not meant to remain limited to a small circle of family and friends. It must expand until it includes all people, all faiths, all creatures, and all of nature. When love expands, the heart becomes less narrow. It begins to see the same divine presence in every form.
Calling For Cosmic Harmony is also a call to respect nature. The earth gives without complaint. Trees offer shade, rivers give water, animals support life, and the sky holds everything silently. But when human beings act with greed and carelessness, nature becomes disturbed. Pollution, waste, destruction, and overuse are not only environmental problems; they are signs of inner imbalance.
A harmonious life requires moderation. We should take what we need, avoid waste, and live with gratitude. The universe is not meant to serve endless human desire. It is a sacred order in which every being has a place. When we live simply and responsibly, we honor the Divine intelligence that sustains creation.
Calling For Cosmic Harmony also asks us to build unity among religions. Every sincere path teaches love, truth, prayer, service, and moral living. Names and forms may differ, but the goal is the same. A truly spiritual person does not insult another’s faith. He respects all forms of worship and understands that God cannot be confined to one language, one scripture, or one tradition.
Service is one of the most practical ways to create harmony. When we feed the hungry, comfort the lonely, educate children, help the sick, and support those in need, we reduce suffering in the world. Service joins hearts. It removes pride and teaches us that no one is truly separate. The one who serves and the one who receives are both blessed by love.
Calling For Cosmic Harmony begins in daily relationships. We cannot speak of universal peace while hurting people near us through harsh words, ego, or indifference. Harmony must be practiced at home first. Listening with patience, speaking with kindness, forgiving mistakes, and respecting differences are small but powerful steps. A peaceful home becomes a small model of a peaceful world.
The same principle applies to society. Differences will always exist. People will think differently, live differently, and believe differently. Harmony does not mean everyone becomes the same. It means learning to live with respect, fairness, and compassion despite differences. Unity is not uniformity; it is the ability to recognize one divine life expressing through many forms.
Prayer also has an important role. A sincere prayer for the welfare of all beings expands the heart. When we pray only for ourselves, the mind remains small. When we pray for the peace of the world, for the relief of suffering, and for the happiness of all beings, our consciousness becomes wider. Such prayer slowly changes the one who prays.
Calling For Cosmic Harmony is not only a beautiful ideal; it is a responsibility. Every thought of kindness, every truthful word, every act of service, and every moment of self-control contributes to the larger balance of life. We may not be able to change the whole world immediately, but we can make our own presence peaceful and useful.
A person who lives in harmony does not add unnecessary noise to the world. He avoids cruel speech, selfish actions, and wasteful habits. He chooses peace over argument, service over pride, and gratitude over complaint. Such a person becomes a silent blessing wherever he goes.
In the end, Calling For Cosmic Harmony is a sacred reminder that life is one interconnected whole. The peace we seek outside must first be awakened within. When the heart becomes loving, the mind becomes calm, the hands become helpful, and the life becomes pure, harmony begins to shine. Through love, service, respect, and spiritual awareness, humanity can move closer to the divine rhythm that holds the universe together.
