Architecture of the Temple

The main monument is 108 feet high, 240 feet long, and 131 feet wide, built entirely from pink sandstone from Rajasthan.
The central shrine houses the idol of Lord Swaminarayan (7 feet tall), seated in Abhayamudra posture, richly decorated with ornaments.
The temple is adorned with intricate carvings of deities, saints, animals, dancers, and musicians, reflecting Indian cultural themes.
The complex features:
- Exhibition halls with audio-visual shows and dioramas depicting Indian culture and Swaminarayan’s life.
- Sahajanand Van – a lush garden with fountains, sculptures, and a cultural boat ride.
- Sat-Chit-Anand Water Show – a stunning multimedia presentation based on Vedic stories.
The temple combines traditional craftsmanship and modern presentation techniques, making it a unique spiritual landmark.

By Road: The temple is located about 4 km from Gandhinagar city center and 25 km from Ahmedabad. It is well connected by bus, cab, and private vehicles.
