Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited
Eternity extends before man; space too is horizonless; but, life is short and very unsure. Therefore, man has to make the best use of the years allotted to him in this world, and try to become one with the Absolute, so that these entrances and exits may end forever. That is his Dharma, the duty he has to do for himself. Know that Dharma and live according to its dictates – that is the meaning and purpose of life.
So, the Almighty who has made creatures evolve unto human beings comes down as man, whenever that creature forgets or ignores this basic duty towards itself. The sages of India, through the process of purifying their intuition, discovered this fact and sensed the message the Divine Incarnations bring, the Avathars carry. Many times in human history, Avathars have come and awakened man. But, the animal past, and the demonic delusion drag man into the mire, where he foolishly revels in sensual, physical and transient trivialities.
This is a splendid chance to fulfill your human existence. The ananda (Bliss) that you hope to derive from kith and kin, from wealth and worldly fame, is but a pale shadow of the ananda that resides in the spring of your heart, where God dwells. Try to contact that spring; go to the very source; be centred in the Athma or God within. Few seek real ananda; many are led away by the pseudo-ananda of the senses, the intellect and the mind. Real ananda springs only from Truth (or Sathya). And, Sathya is the Dharma or duty of each to himself. Seek Truth, serve Truth, be Truth.
The Message can be grasped only by those who yearn to know the Duty, to which they have to be loyal. Or else, it will sound hollow and mechanical, like the prattle of a phonograph record. But, if the heart is ploughed by that yearning and made ready for the seed, the harvest will certainly follow.
Arjuna was the brother-in-law of Lord Krishna (in the epic Mahabharata); he was a close companion of the Lord, for many decades! Krishna, mind you, was 84 years old at the time of the Kurukshethra battle, when He served Arjuna as a non-combatant charioteer! Yet, it was only on that battlefield that the Message of the Bhagavad Geetha was imparted to him! Why? Arjuna developed the requisite attitude for the reception and retention of the Message only then.
First Arjuna was puzzled about his duty and was tremendously anxious to get light thrown upon it. He was torn between two paths, and in spite of all his discrimination and detachment, he was at a loss to discover what his Dharma was. Second, he surrendered his judgement to God, and declared, out of the deepest recesses of his heart, in indescribable agony, “I am your disciple; I dedicate my entire being to your Will; tell me what to do and I shall obey.”
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited – divine joy for positive living
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited is the natural longing of every human heart. People may chase wealth, comfort, name, success, relationships, and pleasures, but behind all these desires there is only one deeper search: the search for lasting happiness. Every soul wants peace that does not break, joy that does not fade, and fulfillment that does not depend completely on outer conditions.
In ordinary life, happiness usually comes and goes. A pleasant event makes us smile, but a small disappointment can disturb the mind. Praise gives excitement, but criticism creates pain. Success gives confidence, but failure brings fear. This shows that worldly happiness is limited because it depends on changing situations. True bliss must be deeper than temporary pleasure.
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited reminds us that real joy is not found outside alone. Outer things can give comfort, but not permanent peace. A beautiful home, good food, money, and respect may make life easier, but they cannot remove inner emptiness if the heart is restless. Bliss begins when the mind becomes calm, the heart becomes pure, and the soul feels connected with the Divine.
Spiritual wisdom teaches that bliss is our real nature. It is not something completely new that must be created. It is already present within us, but it becomes hidden under desires, fears, anger, jealousy, pride, and attachment. Just as clouds hide the sun, negative tendencies hide inner joy. When the heart is purified, the light of bliss begins to shine naturally.
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited is not the path of running away from life. It is the path of understanding life correctly. We must perform our duties, care for family, work honestly, and face challenges with courage. But we should not become slaves of results. When action is done with love and surrender, the mind remains peaceful even when outcomes change.
One of the main obstacles to bliss is endless desire. The mind says, “I will be happy when I get this.” After getting it, another desire appears. This cycle continues without giving full satisfaction. Desire is like salt water; the more we drink, the thirstier we become. Contentment is the beginning of inner freedom. A content heart can enjoy what it has without becoming miserable for what it does not have.
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited also requires control of the mind. An uncontrolled mind jumps from one thought to another and creates unnecessary suffering. It remembers old pain, worries about the future, compares with others, and imagines problems. Such a mind cannot taste deep joy. Through prayer, meditation, self-discipline, and good thoughts, the mind slowly becomes steady.
Love is another doorway to bliss. Pure love expands the heart and removes loneliness. But this love should not be selfish or possessive. True love gives, forgives, understands, and serves. When love is mixed with expectation, it becomes a source of pain. When love becomes selfless, it becomes a source of divine joy. A heart that loves all beings comes closer to God.
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited becomes possible when we reduce ego. Ego constantly demands respect, attention, and control. It feels hurt easily and creates separation from others. Humility, on the other hand, makes the heart light. A humble person does not lose dignity; rather, such a person becomes more peaceful because life is no longer ruled by pride.
Service is a powerful way to experience inner joy. When we help others without selfish intention, we forget our small worries and feel connected with a larger purpose. A kind word, a simple act of support, a prayer for someone’s welfare, or silent service can bring deep satisfaction. The joy of giving is often greater than the joy of receiving.
Bliss also grows through gratitude. Many people focus only on what is missing and forget the blessings already present. Breath, health, food, family, friendship, nature, wisdom, and the chance to grow spiritually are all gifts. A grateful mind does not complain constantly. It sees grace even in simple moments. Gratitude changes ordinary life into sacred life.
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited teaches that suffering decreases when attachment decreases. Attachment makes us believe that our happiness depends completely on one person, object, position, or result. But everything in the world changes. When we accept this truth, we learn to love deeply without clinging blindly. Detachment does not mean coldness. It means love with wisdom .
Faith in God gives strength to the journey. Life may not always move according to our plans, but faith helps us trust that there is a higher wisdom guiding us. During pain, faith gives courage. During success, faith gives humility. During confusion, faith gives direction. A faithful heart does not collapse easily because it feels supported by divine grace.
The highest bliss is experienced when the individual soul feels united with the Divine. This does not require grand display. It may happen in silent prayer, selfless service, pure devotion, or deep meditation. In that state, the heart becomes free from fear and the mind rests in peace. The person feels complete from within.
Seeking Bliss – Uninterrupted and Unlimited finally means seeking the eternal source of joy within. Temporary pleasures may decorate life, but divine bliss transforms life. When we live with love, truth, purity, contentment, service, and surrender, happiness no longer remains dependent only on outer situations. It becomes an inner light.
A life guided by this understanding becomes peaceful and meaningful. Every duty becomes worship, every challenge becomes a lesson, and every breath becomes a blessing. True bliss is not far away; it is waiting within the purified heart, ready to shine when we turn toward God with sincerity.
