॥ saptamaḥ sargaḥ ॥
॥ nāgaranārāyaṇaḥ ॥

atrāntarē cha kulaṭākulavartmapāta-sañjātapātaka iva sphuṭalāñChanaśrīḥ ।
vṛndāvanāntaramadīpayadaṃśujālai-rdiksundarīvadanachandanabindurinduḥ ॥ 40 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: इसी बीच चंद्रमा उदित हुआ। उसकी किरणों का जाल वृंदावन के भीतर चारों ओर प्रकाश फैलाने लगा। वह ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा था मानो किसी दोष से उत्पन्न पाप का स्पष्ट चिह्न हो और दिशाओं की सुंदरियों के मुखरूपी चंदन पर चमकता हुआ बिंदु हो।

English Meaning: Meanwhile, the moon rose and illuminated the inner regions of Vṛndāvana with a network of rays. He appeared like a conspicuous mark born of some transgression, and like a shining sandalwood mark upon the beautiful faces of the maidens of the quarters.

prasarati śaśadharabimbē vihitavilambē cha mādhavē vidhurā ।
virachitavividhavilāpaṃ sā paritāpaṃ chakārōchchaiḥ ॥ 41 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जब चंद्रमा का मंडल आकाश में फैल गया और माधव के आने में विलंब होता गया, तब राधा विरह से अत्यंत व्याकुल होकर अनेक प्रकार के विलाप करने लगी और उसका संताप बहुत बढ़ गया।

English Meaning: As the moon’s disk spread across the sky and Mādhava continued to delay his arrival, Rādhā, overcome with separation, lamented in many ways and suffered intense anguish.

॥ gītaṃ 13 ॥

kathitasamayē’pi harirahaha na yayau vanam ।
mama viphalamidamamalarūpamapi yauvanam ॥
yāmi hē kamiha śaraṇaṃ sakhījanavachanavañchitā ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हाय! मिलने का समय निश्चित होने पर भी हरि वन में नहीं आए। मेरा यह निर्मल और सुंदर यौवन भी व्यर्थ हो गया। हे कामदेव! अब मैं किसकी शरण जाऊँ? मैं अपनी सखी की बातों से ठगी गई हूँ।

English Meaning: Alas! Even though the appointed time for our meeting has arrived, Hari has not come to the forest. My pure and beautiful youth has become fruitless. O Cupid, where shall I now seek refuge? I have been deceived by my friend’s words.

yadanugamanāya niśi gahanamapi śīlitam ।
tēna mama hṛdayamidamasamaśarakīlitam ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जिसके पीछे चलने के लिए मैंने रात में इस घने वन का मार्ग भी अपनाया, उसी के कारण मेरा हृदय कामदेव के असह्य बाणों से विदीर्ण हो गया है।

English Meaning: For whose sake I ventured through this dense forest at night, my heart has now been pierced by Cupid’s unbearable arrows because of him.

mama maraṇamēva varamativitathakētanā ।
kimiha viṣahāmi virahānalachētanā ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हे कामदेव! अब मेरे लिए मृत्यु ही बेहतर है। इस विरहाग्नि से जलते हुए जीवन को मैं और कितना सहन करूँ?

English Meaning: O Cupid! Death would be better for me now. How can I continue to endure this life consumed by the fire of separation?

māmahaha vidhurayati madhuramadhuyāminī ।
kāpi harimanubhavati kṛtasukṛtakāminī ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हाय! यह मधुर रात्रि मुझे और भी व्याकुल कर रही है। निश्चय ही कोई सौभाग्यशाली युवती अपने पूर्व पुण्य के कारण इस समय हरि के साथ प्रेम-सुख का अनुभव कर रही होगी।

English Meaning: Alas! This beautiful night torments me even more. Surely some fortunate woman, blessed by her past merit, is at this very moment experiencing the joy of love with Hari.

ahaha kalayāmi valayādimaṇībhūṣaṇam ।
harivirahadahanavahanēna bahudūṣaṇam ॥ 5 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हाय! मैं अपने कंगन और अन्य मणिमय आभूषणों को अब विरह की अग्नि को और बढ़ाने वाले अनेक दोषों के समान अनुभव कर रही हूँ।

English Meaning: Alas! My bracelets and other jeweled ornaments now seem to me like burdensome sources of further suffering, intensifying the fire of separation from Hari.

kusumasukumāratanumatanuśaralīlayā ।
sragapi hṛdi hanti māmativiṣamaśīlayā ॥ 6 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: मेरा शरीर फूलों से भी अधिक कोमल है, फिर भी कामदेव के सूक्ष्म बाणों की क्रीड़ा के कारण फूलों की माला भी मेरे हृदय को अत्यंत कठोरता से पीड़ा देती है।

English Meaning: My body is more delicate than a flower, yet even a garland of flowers wounds my heart severely because of the cruel play of Cupid’s subtle arrows.

ahamiha nivasāmi nagaṇitavanavētasā ।
smarati madhusūdanō māmapi na chētasā ॥ 7 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: मैं इस उपेक्षित वन में पड़ी हुई हूँ, परंतु मधुसूदन अपने मन में मुझे स्मरण तक नहीं करते।

English Meaning: I remain here in this neglected forest, while Madhusūdana does not even remember me in his heart.

haricharaṇaśaraṇajayadēvakavibhāratī ।
vasatu hṛdi yuvatiriva kōmalakalāvatī ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: श्री जयदेव की यह वाणी, जो हरि के चरणों की शरण में समर्पित है, कोमल कलाओं से संपन्न युवती के समान भक्तों के हृदय में निवास करे।

English Meaning: May these words of Śrī Jayadeva, devoted to the refuge of Hari’s feet, dwell within the hearts of devotees like a graceful young woman endowed with tender beauty and artistic charm.

tatkiṃ kāmapi kāminīmabhisṛtaḥ kiṃ vā kalākēlibhi-rbaddhō bandhubhirandhakāriṇi vanōpāntē kimu bhrāmyati ।
kāntaḥ klāntamanā manāgapi pathi prasthātumēvākṣamaḥ saṅkētīkṛtamañjuvañjulalatākuñjē’pi yannāgataḥ ॥ 42 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: क्या मेरा प्रिय किसी दूसरी कामिनी के पास चला गया है? अथवा प्रेम-क्रीड़ाओं में बंधकर किसी अन्य के साथ व्यस्त है? या इस अंधकारमय वन की सीमा में भटक रहा है? उसका मन यदि थक गया है और वह मार्ग पर चलने में भी थोड़ा असमर्थ है, तो भी उसने उस सुंदर वंजुल-लताओं से सजे हुए निश्चित मिलन-कुंज में आकर मुझे क्यों नहीं पाया?

English Meaning: Has my beloved gone to meet some other woman? Or has he become absorbed in amorous play with another? Or is he wandering near the edge of this dark forest? Even if his heart is weary and he is barely able to proceed along the path, why has he not come to the beautiful bower of vǎñjula creepers appointed for our meeting?

athāgatāṃ mādhavamantarēṇa sakhīmiyaṃ vīkṣya viṣādamūkām ।
viśaṅkmānā ramitaṃ kayāpi janārdanaṃ dṛṣṭavadētadāha ॥ 43 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: तब राधा की सखी ने उसे माधव के बिना ही वहाँ उपस्थित और अत्यंत दुःखी देखकर सोचा कि शायद जनार्दन किसी अन्य स्त्री के साथ प्रेम-क्रीड़ा कर चुके हैं। इस आशंका से उसने उससे कहा—

English Meaning: Seeing Rādhā present without Mādhava and rendered speechless by sorrow, her friend suspected that Janārdana might have been enjoying himself with another woman. With this apprehension, she spoke to her.

smarasamarōchitavirachitavēśā ।
galitakusumadaravilulitakēśā ॥
kāpi madhuripuṇā vilasati yuvatiradhikaguṇā ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: कोई अत्यंत गुणवान युवती कामदेव के युद्ध के अनुकूल श्रृंगार करके, प्रेम-क्रीड़ा से बिखरे हुए केशों और झरे हुए फूलों के साथ मधुरिपु श्रीकृष्ण के साथ रमण कर रही है।

English Meaning: Some exceptionally beautiful and accomplished young woman is sporting with Madhuripu Kṛṣṇa, dressed for the battle of love, with her hair loosened and adorned with flowers that have fallen during their amorous play.

hariparirambhaṇavalitavikārā ।
kuchakalaśōpari taralitahārā ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हरि के आलिंगन से उसके शरीर में प्रेम के विविध भाव उत्पन्न हो रहे हैं और उसके वक्ष पर पड़ा हार भी उन भावों के कारण चंचल होकर झूल रहा है।

English Meaning: Hari’s embraces cause waves of amorous emotion to pass through her body, while the necklace upon her bosom sways restlessly with her movements.

vichaladalakalalitānanachandrā ।
tadadharapānarabhasakṛtatandrā ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: उसके लहराते हुए केश उसके चंद्रमा-समान मुख को और भी सुंदर बना रहे हैं। कृष्ण के अधरों का पान करने की उत्कंठा से वह प्रेममग्न और कुछ शिथिल-सी हो गई है।

English Meaning: Her moon-like face is beautified by her gently disheveled locks, and the eagerness to taste Kṛṣṇa’s lips has left her languid and absorbed in love.

chañchalakuṇḍaladalitakapōlā ।
mukharitarasanajaghanagalitalōlā ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: उसके चंचल कुंडल उसके गालों को स्पर्श कर रहे हैं, और उसकी मुखर करधनी तथा वस्त्रों की चंचल गति उसकी प्रेमावस्था को प्रकट कर रही है।

English Meaning: Her restless earrings brush against her cheeks, while the lively sounds of her ornaments and the movement of her garments reveal her state of amorous excitement.

dayitavilōkitalajjitahasitā ।
bahuvidhakūjitaratirasarasitā ॥ 5 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: अपने प्रिय के प्रेमपूर्ण दृष्टिपात से वह लज्जित होकर मुस्कुराती है और अनेक प्रकार की मधुर ध्वनियों से प्रेम-रस को और भी सरस बना देती है।

English Meaning: Gazed upon lovingly by her beloved, she smiles shyly and enriches the sweetness of their love with many soft and expressive sounds.

vipulapulakapṛthuvēpathubhaṅgā ।
śvasitanimīlitavikasadanaṅgā ॥ 6 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: उसके शरीर पर रोमांच छा गया है और वह तीव्र कंपन से भर उठती है। गहरी साँसों के कारण उसकी आँखें अर्धबंद हैं और उसका शरीर प्रेमभाव से विकसित हो रहा है।

English Meaning: Waves of horripilation cover her body, and she trembles intensely. With deep breaths, her eyes become half-closed, while her body unfolds in the ecstasy of love.

śramajalakaṇabharasubhagaśarīrā ।
paripatitōrasi ratiraṇadhīrā ॥ 7 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: प्रेम-क्रीड़ा से उसके शरीर पर श्रम की जल-बूंदें चमक रही हैं और वह अत्यंत सुंदर दिखाई देती है। प्रेम के इस युद्ध में वह अपने प्रिय के वक्ष पर निश्चिंत होकर झुक गई है।

English Meaning: Drops of perspiration from the exertion of love adorn her beautiful body, making her even more charming. Fearless in the battle of love, she has surrendered herself upon her beloved’s chest.

śrījayadēvabhaṇitahariramitam ।
kalikaluṣaṃ janayatu pariśamitam ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: श्री जयदेव द्वारा वर्णित हरि की इस प्रेम-क्रीड़ा का स्मरण कलियुग के पाप और कलुष को शांत करने वाला हो।

English Meaning: May the remembrance of this amorous sport of Hari, described by Śrī Jayadeva, bring about the pacification of the sins and impurities of the Kali age.

virahapāṇḍumurārimukhāmbuja-dyutiriyaṃ tirayannapi chētanām ।
vidhuratīva tanōti manōbhuvaḥ sahṛdayē hṛdayē madanavyathām ॥ 44 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: विरह के कारण पीले पड़े मुरारि के मुख-कमल की यह आभा, चेतना को ढँक देने वाली होने पर भी, संवेदनशील हृदय वाले प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के हृदय में कामदेव की विरह-पीड़ा को और भी बढ़ा देती है।

English Meaning: The pallor and radiance of Murāri’s lotus-like face, altered by separation, even while overwhelming the senses, intensifies the pain of love in every tender and sympathetic heart.

॥ gītaṃ 15 ॥

samuditamadanē ramaṇīvadanē chumbanavalitādharē ।
mṛgamadatilakaṃ likhati sapulakaṃ mṛgamiva rajanīkarē ॥
ramatē yamunāpulinavanē vijayī murāriradhunā ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: किसी रमणी के प्रेम से प्रफुल्लित मुख और चुंबन से लाल हुए अधरों पर श्रीकृष्ण प्रेमपूर्वक मृगमद का तिलक बना रहे हैं, जैसे चंद्रमा पर कोई सुंदर चिह्न अंकित किया जा रहा हो। विजयी मुरारि इस समय यमुना के तट के वन में उसके साथ रमण कर रहे हैं।

English Meaning: Upon the beloved woman’s face, radiant with awakened desire and with lips reddened by kisses, Kṛṣṇa lovingly draws a musk mark, as though adorning the moon with a beautiful sign. Victorious Murāri now delights with her in the forest on the bank of the Yamunā.

ghanachayaruchirē rachayati chikurē taralitataruṇānanē ।
kurabakakusumaṃ chapalāsuṣamaṃ ratipatimṛgakānanē ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: वह उसके घने और सुंदर केशों को सजाता है, जो उसके चंचल युवा मुख को और मनोहर बनाते हैं। कामदेव के लिए वह मानो एक हिरणी के समान है, और उसके केशों में कुरबक के फूल लगाता है।

English Meaning: He adorns her thick, beautiful hair, which enhances the charm of her lively youthful face. To Cupid she is like a graceful doe, and Kṛṣṇa places kurabaka flowers among her locks.

ghaṭayati sughanē kuchayugagaganē mṛgamadaruchirūṣitē ।
maṇisaramamalaṃ tārakapaṭalaṃ nakhapadaśaśibhūṣitē ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: उसके सुडौल वक्ष पर, जो मृगमद की सुगंध से सुशोभित है, वह निर्मल मणियों की माला ऐसे सजाता है जैसे तारों का समूह चंद्रमा से सुशोभित आकाश में शोभा देता है। उसके शरीर पर प्रेम-क्रीड़ा के नख-चिह्न भी चंद्रमा की कलाओं के समान दिखाई देते हैं।

English Meaning: Upon her graceful bosom, scented with musk, he arranges a pure necklace of jewels like a cluster of stars adorning the sky. The marks left by his nails appear like delicate lunar ornaments upon her body.

jitabisaśakalē mṛdubhujayugalē karatalanalinīdalē ।
marakatavalayaṃ madhukaranichayaṃ vitarati himaśītalē ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: कमल-तंतु से भी कोमल उसकी दोनों भुजाओं और कमल-पंखुड़ी जैसे करों पर वह पन्ने के कंगन पहनाता है, जो शीतल हैं और जिनकी शोभा भौंरों के समूह जैसी है।

English Meaning: Upon her arms, softer than lotus fibers, and her lotus-petal-like hands, he places cool emerald bangles whose beauty resembles a cluster of bees.

ratigṛhajaghanē vipulāpaghanē manasijakanakāsanē ।
maṇimayarasanaṃ tōraṇahasanaṃ vikirati kṛtavāsanē ॥ 5 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: प्रेम के निवास समान उसके सुडौल कटि-प्रदेश पर, जो कामदेव के आनंद का आसन है, वह रत्नमय करधनी बाँधता है। उसके झंकारते हुए रत्न ऐसे लगते हैं मानो आनंद से मुस्कुरा रहे हों।

English Meaning: Upon her graceful waist, the dwelling place of love and the seat of Cupid’s delight, he places a jeweled girdle. Its shining jewels seem to smile and sparkle with joy.

charaṇakisalayē kamalānilayē nakhamaṇigaṇapūjitē ।
bahirapavaraṇaṃ yāvakabharaṇaṃ janayati hṛdi yōjitē ॥ 6 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: उसके कोमल, कमल-समान चरणों पर, जो लक्ष्मी के निवास के समान सुंदर हैं, नखों की मणियों जैसी चमक है। वह उन चरणों को यावक से सजाकर बाहरी आवरण हटाकर अपने हृदय में प्रेम और आनंद उत्पन्न करता है।

English Meaning: Her tender, lotus-like feet, beautiful like the abode of Lakṣmī, shine with jewel-like toenails. He adorns them with red lac, removing the outer covering and filling the heart with love and delight.

ramayati sadṛśaṃ kāmapi subhṛśaṃ khalahaladharasōdarē ।
kimaphalamavasaṃ chiramiha virasaṃ vada sakhi viṭapōdarē ॥ 7 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हे हलधर के भाई कृष्ण! तुम किसी अत्यंत सुंदर और अपने अनुरूप युवती के साथ यहाँ प्रेम-क्रीड़ा कर रहे हो। हे सखी! यदि ऐसा है, तो इस वृक्षों से घिरे स्थान में मेरा इतने समय तक व्यर्थ और नीरस प्रतीक्षा करना किस काम का है?

English Meaning: O brother of Haladhara! You are delighting in the company of a beautiful woman worthy of you. O friend, if this is so, what purpose has my long and fruitless waiting in this grove served?

iha rasabhaṇanē kṛtahariguṇanē madhuripupadasēvakē ।
kaliyugacharitaṃ na vasatu duritaṃ kavinṛpajayadēvakē ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: श्री जयदेव की इस मधुर रसपूर्ण वाणी में हरि के गुणों का वर्णन हुआ है और मधुरिपु के चरणों की सेवा की गई है। कवि-श्रेष्ठ जयदेव की इस रचना में कलियुग का कोई पाप या कलुष स्थिर न रहे।

English Meaning: In this delightful composition, the virtues of Hari are praised and the feet of Madhuripu are lovingly served. May no sin or impurity of the Kali age remain in the work of the poet-king Jayadeva.

nāyātaḥ sakhi nirdayō yadi śaṭhastvaṃ dūti kiṃ dūyasē svachChandaṃ bahuvallabhaḥ sa ramatē kiṃ tatra tē dūṣaṇam ।
paśyādya priyasamgamāya dayitasyākṛṣyamāṇaṃ gaṇai-rutkaṇṭhārtibharādiva sphuṭadidaṃ chētaḥ svayaṃ yāsyati ॥ 45 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हे सखी! यदि वह निर्दयी और छलपूर्ण प्रियतम नहीं आया, तो तुम क्यों दुखी होती हो? वह स्वतंत्र स्वभाव का है और अनेक स्त्रियों का प्रिय है; यदि वह कहीं और रमण करता है, तो इसमें तुम्हारा क्या दोष है? देखो, आज प्रिय से मिलने की उत्कंठा से उसका हृदय स्वयं ही अनेक भावों के समूह द्वारा खिंचता हुआ तुम्हारे पास आएगा; विरह की पीड़ा से उसका मन स्पष्ट रूप से तुम्हारी ओर आकर्षित होगा।

English Meaning: O friend! If that cruel and deceitful beloved has not come, why should you grieve? He is independent and beloved by many women; if he delights elsewhere, how can that be your fault? But see—today, drawn by his longing to meet his beloved, his own heart will come toward you, pulled by the multitude of emotions born of separation.

anilataralakuvalayanayanēna ।
tapati na sā kisalayaśayanēna ॥
sakhi yā ramitā vanamālinā ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: हे सखी! जिस स्त्री के साथ वनमाली श्रीकृष्ण ने प्रेम-क्रीड़ा की है, वह वायु से चंचल नीलकमल के समान नेत्रों वाली होकर भी कोमल पत्तों की शय्या से नहीं जलती और न ही उससे पीड़ित होती है।

English Meaning: O friend! The woman who has enjoyed love with Vanamālī, whose eyes resemble blue lotuses trembling in the breeze, is not tormented even by a bed of tender leaves.

vikasitasarasijalalitamukhēna ।
sphuṭati na sā manasijaviśikhēna ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जिसका मुख खिले हुए कमल के समान सुंदर है, वह कामदेव के बाणों से पीड़ित नहीं होती।

English Meaning: She whose face is lovely like a fully blossomed lotus is not wounded by the arrows of Cupid.

amṛtamadhuramṛdutaravachanēna ।
jvalati na sā malayajapavanēna ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जिसकी वाणी अमृत के समान मधुर और अत्यंत कोमल है, वह मलय पर्वत की सुगंधित वायु से नहीं जलती।

English Meaning: She whose speech is sweet and gentle like nectar is not burned by the fragrant breeze of Malaya.

sthalajalaruharuchikaracharaṇēna ।
luṭhati na sā himakarakiraṇēna ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जिसके चरण स्थल पर खिले कमल के समान सुंदर हैं, वह चंद्रमा की किरणों के कारण व्याकुल होकर भूमि पर नहीं लोटती।

English Meaning: She whose feet are beautiful like blossoming terrestrial lotuses does not writhe upon the ground under the moonbeams.

sajalajaladasamudayaruchirēṇa ।
dalati na sā hṛdi chiravirahēṇa ॥ 5 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जिसका सौंदर्य जल से भरे मेघों के समूह के समान मनोहर है, उसका हृदय लंबे विरह से विदीर्ण नहीं होता।

English Meaning: She whose beauty is charming like a cluster of rain-filled clouds does not have her heart torn apart by prolonged separation.

kanakanikaṣaruchiśuchivasanēna ।
śvasati na sā parijanahasanēna ॥ 6 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जो कसौटी पर परखे हुए सोने के समान उज्ज्वल और पवित्र वस्त्र धारण करती है, वह सखियों की हँसी और परिहास के कारण व्याकुल होकर आहें नहीं भरती।

English Meaning: She who wears garments bright and pure like gold tested upon a touchstone does not sigh in distress because of the laughter and teasing of her companions.

sakalabhuvanajanavarataruṇēna ।
vahati na sā rujamatikaruṇēna ॥ 7 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: जो समस्त संसार के श्रेष्ठ युवाओं में श्रेष्ठ श्रीकृष्ण के साथ रमण कर चुकी है, वह विरह की अत्यंत करुण पीड़ा को नहीं सहती।

English Meaning: She who has enjoyed the company of the supreme youth among all the beings of the world, Kṛṣṇa, does not endure the intensely painful suffering of separation.

śrījayadēvabhaṇitavachanēna ।
praviśatu harirapi hṛdayamanēna ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ: श्री जयदेव द्वारा कही गई इन वाणियों के माध्यम से स्वयं हरि भी हमारे हृदय में प्रवेश करें।

English Meaning: Through these words spoken by Śrī Jayadeva, may Hari Himself enter and dwell within the heart.

manōbhavānandana chandanānila prasīda rē dakṣiṇa muñcha vāmatām ।
kṣaṇaṃ jagatprāṇa vidhāya mādhavaṃ purō mama prāṇaharō bhaviṣyasi ॥ 46 ॥

English Meaning: O sandal-scented southern breeze that delights the god of love, be gracious to me and cease your hostility. If you bring Mādhava before me even for a moment and satisfy my heart, then instead of being a destroyer of my life, you will become its preserver.

English Meaning: In the state of separation where even the company of friends feels like an enemy, the cool breeze like fire, and the moon’s nectar-like rays like poison, Cupid becomes forcefully active again in the hearts of blue-lotus-eyed women, uncontrollable and relentless.

हिंदी अर्थ: हे मलय पवन! हे पंचबाण कामदेव! मुझे और पीड़ा दो, मेरे प्राण ही ले लो; मैं अब अपने घर वापस नहीं जाऊँगी। हे मृत्यु की बहन समान विरह-वेदना! तुम्हारी क्षमा या दया से क्या लाभ? अपनी शीतल तरंगों से मेरे अंगों को सींचो, ताकि शरीर का यह दाह शांत हो सके।

English Meaning: O Malaya breeze! O five-arrowed Cupid! Torment me further and take away my very life; I shall not return home again. O pain resembling the sister of Death, what use is your mercy? Sprinkle my limbs with your cooling waves so that this burning of the body may finally subside.

English Meaning: May Nanda’s son, Kṛṣṇa, bring joy to the whole world. In the morning, wearing blue garments and a yellow cloth upon His chest, He is seen with the signs of His night with Rādhā. He smiles freely among the circle of her friends and then, with eyes made restless by modesty, casts His gaze toward Rādhā’s face with a sweet smile. (This verse is found in some textual variants.)
