हिंदी अर्थ:
श्री गणेश को नमस्कार। श्री सरस्वती देवी को नमस्कार। श्रीपाद वल्लभ और श्री नरसिंह सरस्वती स्वरूप श्रीगुरु दत्तात्रेय को नमस्कार।

English Meaning:
Salutations to Sri Ganesha. Salutations to Goddess Saraswati. Salutations to Sri Guru Dattatreya, who manifested as Sripada Vallabha and Narasimha Saraswati.

dattātrēyaṃ mahātmānaṃ varadaṃ bhaktavatsalam ।
prapannārtiharaṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं महात्मा, वरदान देने वाले और भक्तों पर अत्यंत स्नेह रखने वाले भगवान दत्तात्रेय को नमस्कार करता हूँ। जो शरणागत भक्तों के दुःखों को दूर करते हैं और स्मरण करते ही उनके पास पहुँचते हैं, वे हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the great-souled Lord Dattatreya, the bestower of boons and the loving protector of devotees. May He who removes the suffering of those who surrender to Him and comes when remembered protect us.

dīnabandhuṃ kṛpāsindhuṃ sarvakāraṇakāraṇam ।
sarvarakṣākaraṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं दीन-दुःखियों के बंधु, करुणा के सागर, समस्त कारणों के मूल कारण और सभी प्रकार की रक्षा करने वाले भगवान को नमस्कार करता हूँ। जो स्मरण करते ही उपस्थित होते हैं, वे हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the Lord who is the friend of the distressed, the ocean of compassion, the ultimate cause behind all causes, and the protector of all. May He who comes instantly when remembered protect us.

śaraṇāgatadīnārta paritrāṇaparāyaṇam ।
nārāyaṇaṃ vibhuṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं उन सर्वव्यापक भगवान नारायण को नमस्कार करता हूँ, जो शरणागत, दीन और दुःखी जीवों की रक्षा करने में सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं। स्मरण करते ही आने वाले वे प्रभु हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the all-pervading Lord Narayana, who is ever devoted to protecting those who surrender to Him, especially the helpless and afflicted. May He who comes when remembered protect us.

sarvānarthaharaṃ dēvaṃ sarvamaṅgaḻa maṅgaḻam ।
sarvaklēśaharaṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं उस देव को नमस्कार करता हूँ जो सभी अनर्थों और विपत्तियों को दूर करने वाले तथा समस्त मंगलों में परम मंगलस्वरूप हैं। जो सभी क्लेशों का नाश करते हैं और स्मरण करते ही आते हैं, वे हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the Lord who removes every misfortune and is the supreme auspiciousness among all that is auspicious. May He who destroys all afflictions and comes when remembered protect us.

brahmaṇyaṃ dharmatattvajñaṃ bhaktakīrtivivardhanam ।
bhaktā’bhīṣṭapradaṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 5 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं ब्रह्मनिष्ठ, धर्म के तत्त्व को जानने वाले और भक्तों की कीर्ति बढ़ाने वाले भगवान को नमस्कार करता हूँ। जो भक्तों की मनोवांछित इच्छाएँ पूर्ण करते हैं और स्मरण करते ही आते हैं, वे हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the Lord who is established in Brahman, who knows the essence of Dharma and increases the glory of His devotees. May He who fulfills the cherished wishes of devotees and comes when remembered protect us.

śōṣaṇaṃ pāpapaṅkasya dīpanaṃ jñānatējasaḥ ।
tāpapraśamanaṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 6 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं उस भगवान को नमस्कार करता हूँ जो पापरूपी कीचड़ को सुखा देने वाले, ज्ञान के प्रकाश और तेज को प्रज्वलित करने वाले तथा जीवन के सभी तापों को शांत करने वाले हैं। वे स्मरण करते ही आकर हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the Lord who dries up the mire of sin, kindles the radiance of spiritual knowledge, and pacifies the sufferings and afflictions of life. May He come when remembered and protect us.

sarvarōgapraśamanaṃ sarvapīḍānivāraṇam ।
vipaduddharaṇaṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 7 ॥

मैं उस भगवान को नमस्कार करता हूँ जो सभी रोगों को शांत करने वाले, सभी पीड़ाओं को दूर करने वाले और विपत्तियों से उद्धार करने वाले हैं। स्मरण करते ही आने वाले वे प्रभु हमारी रक्षा करें।

I bow to the Lord who pacifies all diseases, removes every form of suffering and rescues devotees from adversity. May He who comes when remembered protect us.

janmasaṃsārabandhaghnaṃ svarūpānandadāyakam ।
niśśrēyasapadaṃ vandē smartṛgāmi sanōvatu ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं उस भगवान को नमस्कार करता हूँ जो जन्म-मरण रूपी संसार के बंधन को नष्ट करने वाले, आत्मस्वरूप का आनंद प्रदान करने वाले और परम कल्याण एवं मोक्ष की अवस्था प्रदान करने वाले हैं। स्मरण करते ही आने वाले वे प्रभु हमारी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
I bow to the Lord who destroys the bondage of birth and worldly existence, bestows the bliss of one’s true Self, and grants the supreme state of liberation and ultimate welfare. May He who comes when remembered protect us.

jaya lābha yaśaḥ kāma dāturdattasya yaḥ stavam ।
bhōgamōkṣapradasyēmaṃ prapaṭhēt sukṛtī bhavēt ॥9 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
जो साधक विजय, लाभ, यश और इच्छित फल प्रदान करने वाले भगवान दत्तात्रेय के इस स्तोत्र का श्रद्धापूर्वक पाठ करता है, वह पुण्यवान बनता है और भगवान दत्तात्रेय की कृपा से भोग तथा मोक्ष दोनों की प्राप्ति करता है।

English Meaning:
Whoever devoutly recites this hymn of Lord Dattatreya, the giver of victory, prosperity, fame and desired blessings, becomes meritorious and receives, by His grace, both worldly fulfillment and liberation.
