jaṭādharaṃ pāṇḍurāṅgaṃ śūlahastaṃ kṛpānidhim ।
sarvarōgaharaṃ dēvaṃ dattātrēyamahaṃ bhajē ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
मैं जटाधारी, गौरवर्ण वाले, हाथ में त्रिशूल धारण करने वाले, करुणा के भंडार और सभी रोगों को दूर करने वाले भगवान दत्तात्रेय का भजन करता हूँ।

English Meaning:
I worship Lord Dattatreya, who has matted locks, a fair complexion, holds a trident in His hand, is an abode of compassion, and removes all ailments.

asya śrīdattātrēyastōtramantrasya bhagavānnāradṛṣiḥ । anuṣṭup Chandaḥ । śrīdattaḥ paramātmā dēvatā । śrīdattātrēya prītyarthē japē viniyōgaḥ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
इस श्री दत्तात्रेय स्तोत्र मंत्र के ऋषि भगवान नारद हैं, छंद अनुष्टुप है, श्री दत्त परमात्मा देवता हैं। श्री दत्तात्रेय भगवान की प्रसन्नता के लिए इस मंत्र का जप किया जाता है।

English Meaning:
For this Śrī Dattātreya Stotra Mantra, the sage is Bhagavān Nārada, the meter is Anuṣṭubh, and Śrī Datta, the Supreme Self, is the presiding deity. This recitation is undertaken for the pleasure and grace of Lord Dattātreya.

jagadutpattikartrē cha sthitisaṃhārahētavē ।
bhavapāśavimuktāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 1 ॥

हे दत्तात्रेय! आप जगत की उत्पत्ति के कर्ता तथा उसकी स्थिति और संहार के कारण हैं। आप संसार के बंधनों से मुक्त करने वाले हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, You are the cause of the creation, preservation, and dissolution of the universe. You liberate beings from the bonds of worldly existence. Salutations to You.

jarājanmavināśāya dēhaśuddhikarāya cha ।
digambara dayāmūrtē dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दत्तात्रेय! आप जन्म और वृद्धावस्था के बंधन का नाश करने वाले तथा शरीर और जीवन को पवित्र करने वाले हैं। हे दिगंबर, हे करुणामूर्ति! आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, You destroy the bondage of birth and old age and purify the body and life. O Digambara, embodiment of compassion, salutations to You.

karpūrakāntidēhāya brahmamūrtidharāya cha ।
vēdaśāstraparijñāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दत्तात्रेय! आपका शरीर कपूर के समान उज्ज्वल है और आप ब्रह्मस्वरूप धारण करने वाले हैं। आप वेदों और शास्त्रों के पूर्ण ज्ञाता हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, Your body shines like camphor, and You embody the Supreme Brahman. You are the knower of the Vedas and sacred scriptures. Salutations to You.

hrasvadīrghakṛśasthūlanāmagōtravivarjita ।
pañchabhūtaikadīptāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दत्तात्रेय! आप छोटे-बड़े, कृश-स्थूल तथा नाम और गोत्र जैसे सभी भेदों से रहित हैं। आप पाँचों महाभूतों में एकमात्र दिव्य प्रकाश के रूप में व्याप्त हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, You are beyond distinctions such as short and tall, thin and stout, name and lineage. You shine as the one divine radiance underlying the five great elements. Salutations to You.

yajñabhōktē cha yajñāya yajñarūpadharāya cha ।
yajñapriyāya siddhāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 5 ॥

हे दत्तात्रेय! आप यज्ञ के भोक्ता, स्वयं यज्ञस्वरूप और यज्ञ का रूप धारण करने वाले हैं। आप यज्ञप्रिय और सिद्धस्वरूप हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, You are the enjoyer of the sacrificial offering, the sacrifice itself, and the embodiment of Yajna. You love sacred sacrifice and are ever perfected. Salutations to You.

ādau brahmā harirmadhyē hyantē dēvassadāśivaḥ ।
mūrtitrayasvarūpāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 6 ॥

हे दत्तात्रेय! आदि में ब्रह्मा, मध्य में हरि और अंत में सदाशिव के रूप में आप ही स्थित हैं। आप ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और शिव—इन तीनों दिव्य रूपों के स्वरूप हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

O Dattatreya, at the beginning You are Brahma, in the middle You are Hari, and at the end You are Sadashiva. You embody the three divine forms of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Salutations to You.

bhōgālayāya bhōgāya yōgayōgyāya dhāriṇē ।
jitēndriya jitajñāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 7 ॥

हे दत्तात्रेय! आप भोगों के आधार और स्वयं भोगस्वरूप हैं, साथ ही योग के योग्य और योगमार्ग को धारण करने वाले हैं। आपने इंद्रियों को जीत लिया है और परम ज्ञान को प्राप्त किया है। आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, You are the abode and essence of enjoyment, yet You are established in Yoga and worthy of the yogic path. You have conquered the senses and attained supreme knowledge. Salutations to You.

digambarāya divyāya divyarūpadharāya cha ।
sadōditaparabrahma dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दिगंबर! हे दिव्य प्रभु! आप दिव्य स्वरूप धारण करने वाले और सदैव प्रकाशित परमब्रह्म हैं। हे दत्तात्रेय! आपको नमस्कार है।

jambūdvīpē mahākṣētrē mātāpuranivāsinē ।
jayamāna satāṃ dēva dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 9 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दत्तात्रेय! जम्बूद्वीप के महान पवित्र क्षेत्र में निवास करने वाले, सज्जनों के बीच सदा विजयशाली एवं पूजनीय देव! आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, who dwells in the great sacred region of Jambudvipa, O victorious and revered Lord among the virtuous, salutations to You.

bhikṣāṭanaṃ gṛhē grāmē pātraṃ hēmamayaṃ karē ।
nānāsvādamayī bhikṣā dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 10 ॥

O Dattatreya, You wander from house to house and village to village seeking alms, carrying a precious bowl in Your hand and accepting offerings of many kinds. Salutations to You.

brahmajñānamayī mudrā vastrē chākāśabhūtalē ।
prajñānaghanabōdhāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 11 ॥

avadhūta sadānanda parabrahmasvarūpiṇē ।
vidēhadēharūpāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 12 ॥

हे अवधूत! आप सदा आनंदस्वरूप और परब्रह्म के साक्षात् स्वरूप हैं। आप देह से परे होते हुए भी देहधारी रूप में प्रकट होते हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

O Avadhuta, You are eternally blissful and the embodiment of the Supreme Brahman. Though beyond the body, You manifest in embodied form. Salutations to You.

satyarūpa sadāchāra satyadharmaparāyaṇa ।
satyāśrayaparōkṣāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 13 ॥

हे दत्तात्रेय! आप सत्यस्वरूप, सदाचारमय और सत्यधर्म में पूर्णतः स्थित हैं। आप सत्य के आश्रय तथा परम सत्य के अप्रत्यक्ष स्वरूप हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

O Dattatreya, You are the embodiment of truth, righteous conduct, and unwavering devotion to truth and Dharma. You are the refuge of truth and the transcendent, subtle reality beyond ordinary perception. Salutations to You.

śūlahastagadāpāṇē vanamālāsukandhara ।
yajñasūtradhara brahman dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 14 ॥

हे दत्तात्रेय! आपके हाथ में त्रिशूल और गदा शोभित हैं, आपके कंठ में वनमाला सुशोभित है और आप यज्ञोपवीत धारण करते हैं। हे ब्रह्मस्वरूप प्रभु! आपको नमस्कार है।

O Dattatreya, You hold the trident and mace in Your hands, a forest garland adorns Your neck, and You wear the sacred thread. O Lord who embodies Brahman, salutations to You.

kṣarākṣarasvarūpāya parātparatarāya cha ।
dattamuktiparastōtra dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 15 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दत्तात्रेय! आप क्षर और अक्षर दोनों के स्वरूप हैं तथा उनसे भी परे परमश्रेष्ठ तत्त्व हैं। आप मुक्ति प्रदान करने वाले परम स्तोत्रस्वरूप हैं। आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Dattatreya, You embody both the perishable and the imperishable and are beyond even these as the Supreme Reality. You are the supreme source of liberation. Salutations to You.

datta vidyāḍhya lakṣmīśa datta svātmasvarūpiṇē ।
guṇanirguṇarūpāya dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 16 ॥

हे दत्त! आप विद्या से संपन्न, लक्ष्मी के स्वामी और अपने ही आत्मस्वरूप में स्थित हैं। आप सगुण और निर्गुण दोनों स्वरूपों में विद्यमान हैं। हे दत्तात्रेय! आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
O Datta, You are endowed with supreme knowledge, Lord of Lakshmi, and established in Your own true Self. You exist both with attributes and beyond all attributes. O Dattatreya, salutations to You.

śatrunāśakaraṃ stōtraṃ jñānavijñānadāyakam ।
sarvapāpaṃ śamaṃ yāti dattātrēya namō’stu tē ॥ 17 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
यह स्तोत्र शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाला और ज्ञान-विज्ञान प्रदान करने वाला है। इसके प्रभाव से सभी पाप शांत और नष्ट होते हैं। हे दत्तात्रेय! आपको नमस्कार है।

English Meaning:
This hymn destroys enemies and bestows knowledge and spiritual realization. Through its power, all sins are pacified and removed. O Dattatreya, salutations to You.

idaṃ stōtraṃ mahaddivyaṃ dattapratyakṣakārakam ।
dattātrēyaprasādāchcha nāradēna prakīrtitam ॥ 18 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
यह महान और दिव्य स्तोत्र भगवान दत्त के प्रत्यक्ष अनुग्रह की अनुभूति कराने वाला है। भगवान दत्तात्रेय की कृपा से इसका वर्णन नारद जी ने किया है।

English Meaning:
This great and divine hymn brings about the direct experience of the grace of Lord Datta. By the grace of Lord Dattatreya, it was proclaimed by Sage Narada.
