Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance Of March/April 2011 – A Period Of Profound Reflection…
The forty day period of Lent is a time of repentance, fasting and preparation for the coming of Easter, when countless devout hearts spend their days praying to God, contemplating, overhauling the mindset and enhancing spiritual discipline. Two thousand years since the supreme sacrifice by the Son Of God, crucifixion of Jesus Christ, The Supreme Divine Father HimSelf, as Sri Sathya Sai, enacted a Divine Drama in March – April 2011, during the Lent period, resulting in HimSelf being aloof from the human sight hitherto. Connecting the two epochal events spanning two millennia, Ms Jullie Chaudhuri writes about her passion called ‘Sai Lent’, touching upon the unparalleled glory of Sri Sathya Sai Avatarhood and His Divine Sports…
More than two thousand years ago an incident shook the world – the Crucification of Christ. Seemingly barbaric, bizarre, savage and ruthless…yet, it was a distinct part of the Cosmic Plan. The ripples of this unbearable pagan episode are felt even now when anyone genuinely reflects upon the life of Jesus with a pure intent to know, understand, learn and grow. This extreme occurrence gave birth to the solemn period of Lent which culminates on Easter Day. There is an ancient Hawaiin belief – Ho’oponopono, which states that if we are a witness to any incident even if we simply hear of it…may it be whatever is happening around us…we are a part of it and are responsible for it. It is not related to reproach, fault finding or blaming…but it indicates a healing process – in order to heal any situation…it is our responsibility to heal ourselves first.
And so, right now, we are in the midst of a sombre phase…where millions are involved in a penance of sorts…heartbeats that remember the selfless life, the sacrifice…the incomparable gentle love, the spontaneous forgiveness…and the matchless compassion so classically synonymous with Christ. While one participates in a ‘Fast’ one indulges in a feast too. Fasting is an abstinence which goes beyond food…and this takes place while incessantly feasting on the Holy Name and the accompanying divine dictums, messages, parables, and so on…from dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn.
Lent is a 40 day period and Beloved Bhagawan chose this period of Lent for His immensely mystifying leela…and all that He chose to put His Form through for the sake of humanity – akin to forsaking His Form for the sake of humanity. His ways are unfathomable to our finite minds…yet, it doesn’t stop us from thinking, introspecting, wondering about this particular span of time and what it entails for all humans.
The Supreme Father and His compassionate Son…sacrosanct advents that took so much upon Themselves for the benefit of the human race. Infinitely incomprehensible, utterly perplexing, puzzling and interwoven with humans and earth matters…because humans and earth matter to Him…in Whom merges the Son with the line – I and my Father are One. The depth of what They exemplified with their Incarnation is totally inexplicable …much too vast and completely beyond human ken and understanding.
So, what does the human heart feel for Jesus…for Sathya Sai…for Their advent…their ‘life’ on this planet? Is it filled with Paschatap – regret/lament and Prayaschit – atonement? Does it want to do something? Does it feel responsible in some minute way? Isn’t it true, that oft times it’s not what we have done…but what we have omitted to do; it’s not what we have thought…but what we have forgotten to think; it’s not what we say but that which we have overlooked to mention that turns us into a defaulter of sorts?
Is there a tug in the heart…to remodel our thoughts, alter our words, rectify our actions, re-intensify our endeavours so as to live to please only Sai?
What does Bhagawan and all that He stood for and exemplify mean to each of us?
Should not each moment of this span of time be spent in reflection, reaction, resound and deep response? So much went into this span of time…the Divine Decision to take so much upon the Sacred Form…the onus lies upon us all to accord it reverence supreme.

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance – A Message for Human Transformation
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance is a deeply meaningful thought that invites us to understand the purpose of divine presence in human life. Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba did not come only to be admired, praised, or remembered through celebrations. His life and message were meant to awaken the sleeping goodness within every heart and guide humanity toward love, truth, service, and unity.
Many people approach spirituality through emotion, devotion, or personal need. They pray for protection, peace, health, success, or relief from suffering. These prayers are natural, and divine compassion receives them with love. But Bhagawan’s message always went beyond personal comfort. He wanted human beings to recognize their inner divinity and express it through noble conduct.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance reminds us that the true value of devotion is transformation. It is not enough to sing bhajans, read discourses, or speak beautifully about Swami if our daily behavior remains harsh, selfish, or careless. Real devotion must appear in the way we speak, work, serve, forgive, and treat others. A changed heart is the finest offering.
Swami constantly taught that love is the foundation of life. Love is not weakness or sentiment alone. It is the power that removes hatred, heals division, and makes service possible. When love becomes pure, it does not ask who is rich or poor, known or unknown, near or far. It simply responds to suffering with compassion and to life with reverence.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance also points toward the importance of unity. Swami welcomed people from every religion, country, language, and background. He showed that the Divine cannot be limited by human boundaries. All sincere paths, when followed with purity, lead toward the same truth. This message is especially important in a world where people often divide themselves through pride and narrow thinking.
Education was another important part of His mission. Bhagawan taught that education without character is incomplete. A person may become highly educated, wealthy, or powerful, but without values, such success can become dangerous. True education should build humility, discipline, compassion, and responsibility. It should help students become not only successful individuals, but also good human beings.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance teaches that service is worship in action. Swami did not want love to remain only as a feeling inside the heart. He wanted it to become food for the hungry, care for the sick, education for children, water for the thirsty, and comfort for the suffering. When service is done without ego, it becomes a direct offering to God.
His teachings were simple, but their depth was immense. “Love all, serve all” and “Help ever, hurt never” may sound easy, yet living them requires constant awareness. It means controlling anger, reducing pride, avoiding harmful words, forgiving where possible, and helping without expecting praise. These teachings are not slogans; they are disciplines for daily life.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance becomes clear when we see how Swami connected spirituality with practical living. He did not ask everyone to leave family, work, or society. He asked people to perform their duties with honesty, purity, and devotion. A home can become a temple when family members live with love. A workplace can become sacred when work is done with integrity. A life becomes worship when every action is offered to God.
Swami also emphasized self-confidence, self-control, and self-realization. He reminded people that the Divine is not far away. It lives within as conscience, peace, love, and truth. When we ignore conscience, we move away from our own higher nature. When we listen to it, we begin to walk toward inner freedom. This inner guidance is one of the greatest gifts of spiritual life.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance is not only about remembering a divine personality; it is about accepting a divine responsibility. If we call ourselves devotees, our lives should reflect at least a small part of His message. We should become kinder in speech, cleaner in thought, steadier in faith, and more willing to serve those in need.
The world today has progress, technology, comfort, and information, but many hearts still suffer from loneliness, fear, greed, and restlessness. Swami’s message offers the missing foundation: love joined with character. Without values, progress remains incomplete. Without compassion, knowledge becomes cold. Without faith, life becomes heavy. His teachings guide humanity back to balance.
In the end, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai And The Emphatic Significance is a call to live with awareness, devotion, and service. The highest way to honor Bhagawan is not only through words, songs, or rituals, but through a life that becomes useful to others. When our hearts become loving, our hands become helpful, and our actions become pure, Swami’s message continues to shine through us.
