Dashavatara Stuti

nāmasmaraṇādanyōpāyaṃ na hi paśyāmō bhavataraṇē ।
rāma harē kṛṣṇa harē tava nāma vadāmi sadā nṛharē ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे हरि! संसार-सागर से पार होने के लिए मुझे नामस्मरण के अतिरिक्त कोई दूसरा उपाय दिखाई नहीं देता। हे राम! हे हरि! हे कृष्ण! हे नृहरि! मैं सदा आपके पवित्र नाम का जप करता हूँ।

English Meaning:
O Hari! I see no other means apart from remembrance of Your divine name to cross the ocean of worldly existence. O Rama, O Hari, O Krishna, O Narahari, I constantly chant and remember Your sacred name.

vēdōddhāravichāramatē sōmakadānavasaṃharaṇē ।
mīnākāraśarīra namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 1 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे वेदों का उद्धार करने वाले और सोमक नामक दानव का संहार करने वाले प्रभु! मत्स्य रूप धारण करने वाले भगवान, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; कृपया मेरी रक्षा और पालन करें।

English Meaning:
O Lord who restored the Vedas and destroyed the demon Somaka! O Lord who assumed the form of a fish, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect and preserve me.

manthānāchaladhāraṇahētō dēvāsura paripāla vibhō ।
kūrmākāraśarīra namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 2 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे प्रभु! देवताओं और असुरों द्वारा समुद्र-मंथन के समय मन्दराचल पर्वत को धारण करने वाले और देवताओं-असुरों की रक्षा करने वाले विभो! कूर्म रूप धारण करने वाले भगवान, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O Almighty Lord who supported Mount Mandara during the churning of the ocean and sustained the gods and demons! O Lord who assumed the form of the Tortoise, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

bhūchōrakahara puṇyamatē krīḍōddhṛtabhūdēvaharē ।
krōḍākāraśarīra namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 3 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे पवित्र स्वरूप प्रभु! पृथ्वी का हरण करने वाले दैत्य का संहार करने वाले और अपनी दिव्य लीला से पृथ्वी को ऊपर उठाने वाले हरि! वराह रूप धारण करने वाले भगवान, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O holy Lord who destroyed the demon who stole the Earth and, through Your divine play, raised and restored her! O Hari who assumed the form of the Boar, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

hiraṇyakaśipuchChēdanahētō prahlādā’bhayadhāraṇahētō ।
narasiṃhāchyutarūpa namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 4 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे हिरण्यकशिपु का संहार करने वाले और भक्त प्रह्लाद को निर्भयता प्रदान करने वाले प्रभु! हे अच्युत नरसिंह रूपधारी भगवान, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O Lord who destroyed Hiranyakashipu and granted fearlessness to Your devotee Prahlada! O Achyuta who appeared in the form of Narasimha, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

bhavabandhanahara vitatamatē pādōdakavihatāghatatē ।
vaṭupaṭuvēṣamanōjña namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 5 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे विस्तृत एवं महान स्वरूप वाले प्रभु, जो संसार के बंधनों को दूर करते हैं और जिनके चरणोदक से पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं! मनोहर बाल-ब्राह्मण के रूप में प्रकट होने वाले भगवान, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O great and all-pervading Lord who removes the bonds of worldly existence and whose sacred foot-water destroys sins! O Lord who appeared in the charming form of a young Brahmana, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

kṣitipativaṃśakṣayakaramūrtē kṣitipatikartāharamūrtē ।
bhṛgukularāma parēśa namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 6 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे पृथ्वी के अत्याचारी क्षत्रिय राजाओं के वंश का विनाश करने वाले और अधर्मी शासकों के अहंकार का नाश करने वाले प्रभु! हे भृगुकुल में उत्पन्न परशुराम, हे परमेश्वर! आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O Lord who destroyed the lineages of oppressive Kshatriya rulers and brought an end to the pride and tyranny of unrighteous kings! O Parashurama, born in the lineage of Bhrigu, O Supreme Lord, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

sītāvallabha dāśarathē daśarathanandana lōkagurō ।
rāvaṇamardana rāma namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 7 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे सीता के प्रिय, दशरथ के पुत्र, दशरथ को आनंद देने वाले और समस्त लोकों के गुरु! हे रावण का मर्दन करने वाले श्रीराम, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O beloved of Sita, son of Dasharatha, joy of King Dasharatha, and teacher of all the worlds! O Rama who crushed Ravana, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

kṛṣṇānanta kṛpājaladhē kaṃsārē kamalēśa harē ।
kāḻiyamardana lōkagurō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 8 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे अनंत कृष्ण! हे करुणा के सागर! हे कंस के शत्रु, कमल के स्वामी और हरि! हे कालिय नाग का मर्दन करने वाले तथा समस्त लोकों के गुरु! मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; कृपया मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O infinite Krishna, ocean of compassion! O destroyer of Kamsa, Lord of Lakshmi, O Hari! O Lord who subdued the serpent Kaliya and is the teacher of all the worlds, I am Your devotee; please protect me.

dānavasatimānāpahara tripuravijayamardanarūpa ।
buddhajñāya cha bauddha namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 9 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे दानवों के अहंकार का नाश करने वाले प्रभु, हे त्रिपुर-विजय के स्वरूप! हे बुद्धस्वरूप, ज्ञानमय और बौद्ध रूप में प्रकट होने वाले भगवान! आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O Lord who destroys the pride and arrogance of the demons, whose form is associated with victory over Tripura! O Lord who manifested as Buddha, embodiment of wisdom and enlightenment, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.

śiṣṭajanāvana duṣṭahara khagaturagōttamavāhana tē ।
kalkirūpaparipāla namō bhaktaṃ tē paripālaya mām ॥ 10 ॥

हिंदी अर्थ:
हे सज्जनों की रक्षा करने वाले और दुष्टों का विनाश करने वाले प्रभु! हे श्रेष्ठ घोड़े पर आरूढ़ होने वाले भगवान! कल्कि रूप में प्रकट होकर संसार की रक्षा करने वाले प्रभु, आपको नमस्कार है। मैं आपका भक्त हूँ; कृपया मेरी रक्षा करें।

English Meaning:
O Lord who protects the righteous and destroys the wicked, who rides upon the finest horse! O Lord who will protect and restore the world in the form of Kalki, I bow to You. I am Your devotee; please protect me.
