Lord Vishnu

Lord Vishnu reveals divine cosmic form before devotee

Lord Vishnu is one of the principal deities of Hinduism and is regarded as the Preserver and Protector of the universe. He is a central figure in the Hindu Trinity, or Trimurti, along with Lord Brahma, the creator, and Lord Shiva, the transformer. Lord Vishnu represents righteousness, compassion, protection, and the preservation of cosmic balance.

Lord Vishnu is traditionally depicted with a conch shell (Shankha), discus (Sudarshan Chakra), mace (Gada), and lotus (Padma) in his four hands. He is often shown resting upon the cosmic serpent Shesha in the eternal ocean, with Goddess Lakshmi by his side. His divine vehicle is Garuda, the mighty eagle.

According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishnu takes different avatars whenever righteousness declines and evil becomes powerful. Among his most famous incarnations are Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Narasimha, Lord Vamana, and Lord Varaha. Through these divine manifestations, Vishnu restores Dharma and protects devotees.

Devotion to Lord Vishnu is expressed through prayers, meditation, chanting mantras, and observance of festivals such as Janmashtami, Rama Navami, and Vaikuntha Ekadashi. The sacred mantra “Om Namo Narayanaya” is widely chanted by devotees.

Lord Vishnu teaches humanity the importance of Dharma, devotion, truth, compassion, and selfless action. His divine presence symbolizes the eternal protection of goodness and the restoration of balance in the universe.
