The Divine Education

Bal Vikas (Sai Spiritual Education) is the primary basis of the great movement to restore righteousness (dharma) in the world… The ideal of the program is to raise a generation of boys and girls who have a clean and a clear conscience.

In 1969 Sri Sathya Sai Baba began a program for children in India to teach ancient principles of righteousness. The program became known as Bal Vikas (Blossoming of the Child), and outside India it is now known a Sai Spiritual Education (SSE). The SSE program is conducted for children by Sri Sathya Sai Organization centers in over 100 countries. SSE promotes the Unity of Religions, the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man, placing a ceiling on one’s desires, and the emergence into thought, word, and deed of the five human values: Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love and Nonviolence; all exemplified with stories about the life of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Sacred actions only can ensure world peace

Every man expects the new year to confer on him peace, happiness and prosperity. New year does not bring happiness or sorrow with it. Yesterday was same as today and tomorrow will be same as today. Days are the same, but one experiences either pleasure or pain depending on one’s own actions. Meritorious deeds will not confer misery, and sinful deeds cannot give happiness. One is bound to face the consequences of one’s actions. But one treats pleasure and pain alike when one becomes the recipient of God’s grace. God’s grace destroys mountains of sins and confers peace. But due to the impact of Kali Age, man has lost faith in God. He is after money and power. How can such a man attain Divinity? Man can rise from the level of the human to the Divine only by practising human values. So, man should cultivate human values.
