Shrinathji Temple

It houses the Swayambhu (self-manifested) idol of Lord Krishna in his childhood form, Shrinathji, making it a major pilgrimage site in the Vaishnav tradition.






Architecture of the Temple

Designed as a royal mansion (haveli) rather than a conventional temple, the structure reflects Rajputana style, richly decorated with frescoes, pillars, and balconies.
The main sanctum houses a black marble idol of seven-year-old Krishna, with His left arm raised to lift Govardhan Hill. A courtyard and pillared halls surround the inner shrine
How to Reach to Temple
By Road | Nathdwara is on NH‑48, well connected from Udaipur (48 km), Ajmer, and Jaipur. Temple is near the bus stand in Nathdwara town. |
By Rail | Nearest railhead is Mavli Junction (~28–30 km). Udaipur Railway Station (~45 km) is also used by travelers. |
By Air | The nearest airport is Udaipur (Dabok Airport) about 40–57 km away. Taxis/buses connect to Nathdwara. |
