“जहां होता है श्री संवलियाजी का नाम, वहीं मिटते हैं सारे कष्ट और संताप।”
― Sanwaliaji Temple
The idol of Krishna here is dark-complexioned (Sanwla = dusky), hence the name Sanwaliya Ji.

Mythological Significance & History
The origin of Sanwaliya Ji Temple dates back to 1840 A.D., when a villager named Bholaram Gurjar had a divine dream.
He was guided to dig at a particular spot in the nearby Bagund and Chhapar villages, where three idols of Lord Krishna were discovered buried underground.
The idols were installed at three separate locations: Mandaphia (main temple), Bagund, and Bhadsoda.
The temple at Mandaphia gradually gained prominence and is now the principal shrine, widely recognized as Sanwaliya Seth Mandir.

Significance of the Temple
Sanwaliya Ji is considered the “Business Deity” (Vyapar Ke Devta), and many devotees begin their business deals after praying here.
People offer prayers here to gain success, wealth, health, and fulfillment of wishes.
On every Ekadashi, especially Dev-Jhulni Ekadashi, thousands of devotees visit the temple.
Devotees believe that any wish made with true devotion here comes true — making this temple a spiritual and economic powerhouse for believers.

Architecture of the Temple

The temple is built using Rajasthani sandstone with intricate carvings on the walls and pillars.
The design reflects traditional Hindu temple architecture with a tall shikhara (spire), a large mandapa (hall), and an inner garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) housing the idol of Lord Krishna.
The idol is shown in a standing pose, dark in complexion (Sanwla), wearing royal attire, and adorned with ornaments.
The temple complex is clean, well-organized, and surrounded by facilities for accommodation, dining, and rest.
