Jageshwar Temple

Surrounded by dense deodar forests and set along the banks of the Jata Ganga River, Jageshwar is known for its spiritual atmosphere, tantric energy, and historical architectural marvels.

Architecture of the Temple

The architecture follows the Nagara style—characterized by tall curvilinear spires (shikharas).
Temples are made of cut stones, each dedicated to a different form of Shiva or other deities like:
- Jageshwar Mahadev
- Mrityunjaya Mahadev
- Dandeshwar Temple
- Kuber Temple
- Navagraha Shrine
Many shrines have beautifully carved doorways, Sanskrit inscriptions, and Nandi statues (Shiva’s bull).
The Dandeshwar temple is the tallest and most prominent in the cluster.
