Chandi Devi Temple
It is a popular pilgrimage site and a spiritually significant destination for devotees visiting Haridwar.

The temple is built in traditional North Indian (Nagari) temple architecture.
Located on top of a hill, the temple offers panoramic views of Haridwar city and the Ganges River.
The sanctum sanctorum houses a striking black stone idol of Goddess Chandi.
The temple is relatively simple in structure, focusing more on spiritual ambiance than elaborate decoration.
How to Reach to Temple
There are two main ways to reach the temple:
- Trekking:
- A steep 3 km uphill trek from the Chandighat area.
- Ideal for those who enjoy walking through nature and seek spiritual merit.
- Ropeway (Udan Khatola):
- A popular and scenic cable car ride starting from near Gauri Shankar Temple.
- Best suited for elderly or those who wish to avoid the trek.
