Baladev Dauji Temple, Chhabirau-Uttar-Pradesh

Legend & Origin: The idol is said to have been consecrated by Vajranabha, Krishna’s great-grandson, around 1535 AD, and is considered one of the oldest in the Braj region.

Architecture of the Temple

Built like a fort with four grand gates — Singhchaur, Janani Deodhi, Goshala Dwar, and Badvale.
The central sanctum houses a majestic black stone idol of Lord Balarama (~7 ft tall), adorned with a plough and mace. A statue of his consort Revati stands discreetly nearby.
The temple complex includes the expansive Kshir Sagar (Balabhadra Kund) — a sacred tank with ghats used for ritual purification
