One may be reputed for one’s education with great degrees of BA or MA One may be wealthy and famous for charity and affluence, One may have long span of life with health and strength, One may be a scholar of Vedas and immersed in penance, chanting etc, None can ever equal the devotees at any time, Liberation cannot be had without devotion for God What else can I say to the august and noble gathering of students!!

Description

For us, study is not important, what is very essential is culture. What sort of effect has western education had that the native culture is totally destroyed. The effect of western education is such that the ancient wealth and wisdom have evaporated. The importance and the effect of western education is such that truth and righteousness have disappeared. The effect and the impact of the western education is such that we are increasingly enamored by our attire and language. It appears to be a mistake to speak in one’s own mother tongue. One is hesitant to observe societal norms. They hang back to respect their own teachers. The effect of education is totally lost.

Can an education which is not of use to society or the nation be called education at all? Every year the colleges are letting lose upon the world lakhs of degree-holders. What is their future? What is the goal of the educational system? When you pose these questions, the answer you get is that the educational system has become mechanic. In today’s education you find no trace of character-building, respect for values and regard for tradition. Education is pursued for selfish purposes and not for serving society.

You must forget the foolish idea that education is only for acquiring a degree. Do not seek education for the sake of serving someone else. Have in your mind, as the objectives of your education, the prosperity and good of yourself, your country and your society. Make an effort to sacrifice your life. Do not take the path of selling your education for earning the pittance of a salary. From the time you wake up till the time you go to sleep, you do many things and even struggle hard for the purpose of getting a little money.

We have come into this world with our body as a part of ourselves. So long as you remain a part of this world, it is the duty of the young people to enquire and understand the truth behind all this. What is this body and what is its relationship to the world? It is the determination of Sai to sow in the minds of the young people, which are like the rays of the rising sun, the seeds of desire for acquiring spiritual knowledge.
