Nandikeshwari Temple, Sainthia

It is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas, believed to mark where Sati’s necklace (nanda) fell as Lord Vishnu dismembered her body. The temple stands near the serene banks of the Mayurakshi River.






Architecture of the Temple

The temple rests on an elevated platform and features fairly simple architecture, enhanced by paintings of various gods and goddesses on its walls.
