
According to belief, it is at this site that the lower lip (adhara or “hansi”) of Goddess Sati fell. The presiding deity is worshipped as Phullara Devi, and Bhairava (Shiva’s form) here is called Vishwesh or Vishweshwar.
The name “Attahas” literally means “loud laughter,” and the place is charged with divine feminine energy, symbolizing the joyful and fierce aspects of Devi.





Architecture of the Temple


The temple features traditional Bengali temple architecture, modest yet spiritually vibrant. Though not grand in size, the divine energy of the place is immense.

- A simple sanctum (garbhagriha) with the idol or symbolic representation of Phullara Devi
- A shrine for Bhairava Vishweshwar nearby
- Open surroundings, village ambience, and natural serenity, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere
- An ancient peepal tree and pond near the temple, believed to be sacred
The temple is visited by locals and pilgrims alike, especially during Devi festivals and new/full moon days.
