Significance of the Temple

Ryali means “fall” in Telugu—named for the flower from Mohini’s plait that fell here, which led Lord Shiva to recognize the divine form of Vishnu.
Opposite the Vishnu shrine is a temple for Lord Shiva as Uma Kamandaleshwara, installed by Brahma, symbolizing divine unity—a rare east-west temple alignment.
The carved idol features Vishnu’s forms along with Sridevi, Bhoodevi, Narada, Tumburu, Rambha, Urvasi, Kinnaras, Govardhana Krishna, Adisesha, Garuda, and Ganga Devi.
A naturally flowing stream—Akasha Ganga—emerges from the feet of the idol, noticeable and sacred.
