Sharda Devi Temple, Satna

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Sharda (an aspect of Saraswati/Parvati) and attracts devotees from across India.






Architecture of the Temple

The temple is located at a height of about 600 feet and can be reached by climbing 1063 steps.
A ropeway service is also available for devotees who cannot climb.
The temple houses idols of Goddess Sharda, Lord Narasimha, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, and Goddess Kali within the complex.
Its hilltop location provides a panoramic view of Satna city and surrounding landscapes.

By Rail: The nearest station is Maihar Railway Station, only 2 km from the base of the hill.
By Air: The nearest airport is at Jabalpur (161 km).
By Road: Maihar is well connected by buses and private vehicles from Satna, Jabalpur, and other major towns of Madhya Pradesh.
