― Ichha Puran Balaji Temple

It’s notably called “Ichha Puran” because devotees believe their heartfelt wishes are fulfilled here.

Mythological Significance & History

The temple’s idol (of Lord Hanuman) was unveiled on 13 February 2005, and the temple was opened to the public on the same day.

According to local legend, while digging a canal, workers found the idol of Hanuman which became immovable—interpreted as a divine sign that Hanuman desired to be worshipped at that location, so a temple was built there.

Significance of the Temple

The temple is renowned for fulfilling devotees’ wishes—hence the name “Ichha Puran” (“wish‑fulfilling”).

Major influxes of devotees occur on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and during Hanuman Jayanti, a festival celebrating the birth of Lord Hanuman.

Architecture of the Temple

It is built in a Dravidian (South Indian) architectural style, with craftsmanship contributed by artisans from South India and West Bengal.

The temple features high-quality sculptures that reflect Indian culture, tradition, and spirituality. It also houses statues of Lord Rama’s family and Lord Ganesha at the gate, often welcoming devotees with Ganesha flanked by his consorts Riddhi and Siddhi.
