Chausath Yogini Temple, Khajuraho
It is built in open-air hypaethral style (without a roof), making it unique. Architecture of the Temple Built entirely of coarse granite instead of sandstone (unlike most Khajuraho temples). Rectangular in shape, measuring about 31 x 18 meters. Consists of 65 small chambers arranged around a central courtyard. The central shrine once housed Durga Mahishasuramardini. The temple has no roof, symbolizing openness to the sky and cosmic energy. How to Reach to Temple By Air: Nearest airport – Khajuraho Airport (5 km).
