Sanwaliaji Temple
The idol of Krishna here is dark-complexioned (Sanwla = dusky), hence the name Sanwaliya Ji. Architecture of the Temple The temple is built using Rajasthani sandstone with intricate carvings on the walls and pillars. The design reflects traditional Hindu temple architecture with a tall shikhara (spire), a large mandapa (hall), and an inner garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) housing the idol of Lord Krishna. The idol is shown in a standing pose, dark in complexion (Sanwla), wearing royal attire, and adorned with ornaments.
