Ganapati Suktam with meaning आतून इन्द्र क्षुमन्त चित्रं ग्राभं से भाय । महान दक्षिणेन १॥A to na indra ksumantam citram gräbham sam grhhaya Mahahasti dakšiņčna.In this Suktam the word Ganapati occurs in the last stanza. Ganapati means the Lord of a group of demi-gods. The first nine stanzas, composed in Gayatri Chandas have Indraas Devata. Therefore. this Suktam is addressed to Lord Indra as the Lord of demi-gods (Devatas). ॐ गणानां त्वा गणप॑तिं हवामहे कविं कवीनामुपम श्रवस्तमम् । ज्येष्ठराजं ब्रह्म॑णां ब्रह्मणस्पत॒ आ र्नः गुण्व नूतिर्भिः सीद् सार्दनम् ।। १० ॥Ôm ganănằm tvā ganapatigam havāmahe kavim kavīnāmúpamaśrávastamam. Jyēstharājam brahmanām brahmanaspata a náh śrnvannūtibhiḥ sīda sādanam. O Lord of demigods (Ganapati), decimator of obstacles, and the All-knowing One, we have come to You drawn by Your greatness. You are the emperor of emperors and the highest treasure among all treasures; You are verily Brahma. निषुसींद गणपते गणेषु त्वामाहुर्विप्रतमं कवीनाम् । न करे त्वत्क्रियते किं च नारे महामर्क मघवन् चित्रर्मर्च ॥ ११ ॥Nisusida ganapatē gaņēșu tvāmåhurvipratamam kavinām Na ste tvatkriyatē kim ca nārē mahāmarkam maghavan citramarca. O Bounteous Lord, best among friends. the supreme among sages, grace us with Your benevolent presence since nothing can begin without You. We are overwhelmed with Your gracious presence and adore you by singing Your praises Lord, we implore You to grant us devotion and wisdom. O mighty warrior, condescend to fight for us and grant us imperishable wealth. अभिख्यानों मघवन्नार्धमानान्त्सखै बोधि व॑सुपते सर्वांनाम् । रणं कृधिरणकृत्सत्य शुष्माऽभक्त चिदा भंभेजा राये अ॒स्मान् ॥॥ १२ ॥bhájā rāyē asmān. Abhikhyāno maghavannādhamānāntsakhë bōdhi vasupate ( sakhīnām. Ranam kṛdhiranakrtsatya śuṣmā bhakttē cida In the above hymns, very often we have prayers to God for victory over ones enemies. In the context of spiritual quest, the worst of our enemies are within ourselves in the form of the six vices Kama (lust/desire) Krodha (anger/hatred), Lobha (greed), Moha (attachment), Mada/Ahankara (pride/ego) and Matsarya (jealousy). We pray to the Lord to grant us victory over our inner foes).

Śrīrudrapraśnah Laghunyasah with meaning अग्रिमें बाचि श्रितः । बान्धुदये। हृदयं मমূिমূর अमृतं ब्रह्मणि ॥ १ ॥Agnirmé vaci śritah. Vägdhrdaye. Hrdayam mas Ahamamrte. Let me always be established in the Divine who is immortal. चन्द्रर्मा मे मर्नेसि श्रितः । मनो॒ हृद॑ये । हृद॑यं मयिं । अहममृतै । अमृतं ब्रह्मणि ।॥ ४ ॥Candrama më manasi śritah. Mano hrdayê. Hrdayats mayi. Ahamamrte. Amṛtam brahmaņi.Chandra (Moon) manifests in me as my mind. Let my mind be guided by my heart. May my individual self, my life-breath and my emanating from the immortal Divine seated in my heart.According to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, purity alone can lead the Jeevatma (Individual self) to Paramatma (Cosmic self). All impurities in an individual are related to the worldly desires of the body. Bhagawan sums it up clearly as He says, “God = Man – Desire” and “Man = God + Desire”.

Trisuparna Mantrah with meaning

Trisuparna Mantrah with meaning ब्रह्म-मेतु माम् । मधु-मेतु माम् । ब्रह्म-मेव मधु-मेतु माम यास्तै सोम प्रजावथ्सोऽभिसो अहम् । दुष्वप्नहन् दुरुप्ण यास्तै सोम प्राणाम् स्ताञ्जुहोमि ।। १ ।।Brahmamētu mām. Madhumētu mām. Brahmamëv madhumētu mām. Yāste sõma prajāvathsō bhiso aham Duşvápnahan duruşşaha. Yāste soma prānāg stänjuhómMay I realise the Brahman (The Supreme Self). May I experience bliss of Brahman. May I realise Brahman in His blissful form. Oh Lord, I am one among the children created by You. Remove the dreary dream of worldly existence that engulfs me. As an effort on my part to attain this goal, I offer myself to You as an oblation along with all my vital and mental powers You have bestowed upon me. त्रिसुपर्ण-मयोचितं ब्राह्मणाय दद्यात् । ब्रह्महत्यां वा परे घ्नन्ति । ये ब्राह्मणा-त्रिसुपर्णं पठन्ति । ते सोमं प्राप्नुवन्ति आसहस्रात् पङ्कि पुर्नन्ति । ओम् ॥ २ ।।Trisuparnamayacitam brāhmanāya dadyāt. Brahmahatyām và ëtë ghnánti. Yẽ brahmaņāstrisuparņam pathanti. Ta sõmam prāpnuvanti. Āsahasrāt pankttim punanti. Õm. One may teach this Trisuparna Mantra to a Brahmana (seeker of Truth) even without being asked. One who recites this Mantra will be absolved of the greatest of sins like Bramhahatya (killing of a Brahmana). Those seekers, who chant the Trisuparna Mantra, attain the rewards of Soma Yajna (Sacrifice). Recitation of this Mantra will purify the seekers and help them attain Union with the Pranava (Divine). ब्रह्म॑ मे॒धयाँ । मधु मेधयाँ । ब्रह्म॑मे॒व मधु मे॒धयाँ ।। ३ ॥Brahma mēdhaya. Madhu mēdhaya. Brahmamēva madhú mēdhaya. Brahman is attained through the exercise of Medha Shakthi (higher intelligence). Supreme bliss is also attained through the power of Medha Shakthi. This bliss which is indeed Brahman is attained through Medha Shakthi. मधुवार्ता ऋताय॒ते मधुक्षरन्ति सिन्र्धवः । माध्वीनं स्स॒न्त्वोष॑धीः । मधुनक्तमुतोषसि मयु॑म॒त्पार्थिवं रज॑ः । मधुद्यौर॑स्तु नः पिता । मधुमानो वन॒स्पति॒ मनु॑मां अस्तु सूर्यः । माध्वीर्गावों भवन्तु नः ॥ ५ ॥Madhuvāta ratāyatë madhukşaranti sindhavah. Mādhvirnassantvõşadhīḥ. Madhunakttämutõsasi madhumatpārthivagam rajah. Madhudyaurastu nah pitä. Madhumannō vanaspatirmadhumāgam astu sūryah. Mādhvīrgāvo bhavantu nah. I am a devotee and seeker of Supreme Truth (Let the whole of Your creation treat me with sweetness). May the winds blow sweetly. May the rivers flow sweetly. May the medicinal herbs be beneficial to me. May we experience sweetness day and night. May even the particles of dust from the earth bring me sweetness (sweet smell). O Father! Let the heavens shower sweetness on us. May the sun be soothing and beneficial to us. May the cows bring us sweet milk. य इमं त्रिसुपर्ण-मर्याचितं ब्राह्मणाय॑ दद्यात् । भ्रूणहत्यां को एते व्रन्ति । ये ब्राह्मणा-खिसंपर्णं पठन्ति । ते प्राप्नुवन्ति । आसहस्रात् पङ्कि पुर्नन्ति । ओम् ॥ ६ ॥Ya imam trisuparnamayacitam brāhmanāya dadyat bhrūnahatyam và ëtë ghnanti. Ye brahmaņāstrisuparnam pathanti. Të sõmam prāpnúvanti. Āsahasrät pankttim punanti. Om. One may teach this Trisuparna Mantra to a Brahmana (Seeker of Truth) even without being asked. One who recites this Mantra will be absolved of the greatest of sins like Bhrunahatya (Foeticide). Those seekers who chant the Trisuparna Mantra attain the rewards of Soma Yagna (Sacrifice). Recitation of this Mantra will purify thousands of Brahmanas and will help the seekers attain union with the Pranava (Divine) ब्रह्मा दे॒वानाँ पवीः केबीना-मृषि-विप्राणां महिषो मृगाणाम् । श्येनो गृद्धाणागू स्वर्धिति-र्वर्नानां सोमः पवित्र मत्यैति रेभं ।। ८ ।।Brahmā dēvānam padavīḥ kavīnāmṛşirvipraņām mahişə mrgānẩm. Syênō gṛddhraņāg svadhitirvananāgam sömah pavitramatyti rēbhann. When this Mantra is chanted with sincere devotion to the Supreme who has become the four faced Brahma among gods, supreme wordsmith among poets; the seer among the saints; the buffalo among animals; the kite among the birds; the axe among the tools used in the forest and the nectar ‘Soma’ among the sacrificial offerings it becomes the best of the purifying agencies.

Mṛttikā Sūktam with meaning भूमि-र्धेनुर्धरणी लोकधारिणी । उद्धर्ताऽसि वराहेण कृषक शेत-बाहुना ।। १ ।।Bhūmirdhënurdharani lokadhāriņi. Uddhrta’si väräht krsnēna šátabähună O Mother Earth, You shower happiness like the milch cow. You sustain all life and provide support to all living beings. You were redeemed by the mighty arms of Varaha. (When demon king Hiranyaksha tried to destroy the Earth by submerging it in waters, the Lord incarnated as the big black boar and lifted it up on its tusks after slaying the demon Hiranyaksha). 2.मृत्तिकै हर्न मे पापं युन्मया दुष्कृतं कृतम् । मृत्तिकै ब्रह्म॑दत्ताऽस काश्यपैनाभि॒मन्त्रिता । मृत्तिकै देहिं मे पुष्टि त्वयि र्सर्वं प्रतिष्ठितम् ।। २ ।।Mrttike hana mē pāpam yanmayā duşkṛtaṁ kṛtam. Mrttike brahmadatta’si kāśyapenābhimantritā. Mṛttike dehi më pustim tvayi sarvam pratisthitam. O Mother Earth, I pray to You to destroy all my sins and evil tendencies. As adored and described by devoted sage Kashyapa, You are God’s gift to all living beings. You are the basis of everything and everything is established in You; grant me all nourishment. (Here, the seeker is praying for expiation of sins committed in the past and removal of evil tendencies in him so that he does not commit sins in the future). मृत्तिके प्रतिष्ठिते सर्वं तन्मे निर्णद मृत्तिके । तर्या हतेने पांक गुच्छामि परमां गतिम् ।॥ ३ ॥Mrttikë pratisthitë sarvam tanmë nirnuda mṛttikë. Tay hatēna pāpēna gacchāmi paramām gatim.O Mother Earth, redeem me from all the sins I have committed. Once all my sins are destroved by You. I attain the highest goal (Divine).
