Make the arrow you hold in your hand peaceful; do not destroy the people or the material world. 4. शिवेन वर्चसा त्वा गिरिशाच्छांवदामसि । यो नः सर्वमिज्जग॑दय॒क्ष्मं सुमना अस॑त् ।। ४ ।।Sivena vacasă tvā giriśacchāvadāmasi. Yatha nassarva mijjagad ayakşmagṁ sumanā asat.O Resident of Mountains! In order that our world of relations and cattle may be prosperous, wholly free from disease and of good mind, we propitiate you with auspicious words. 5. अध्यंवोचदधिवक्ता प्रथमो देव्यों भिषक् । अहीगं सवअ॒म्भय॒न्त्सवश्च यातुधा॒न्य॑ः ।। ५ ।।Adhyavocadadhivaktä prathamo daivyo bhisak. Ahigmśca sarvāñjambhayantsarvāśca yätudhänyah.Let the primordial God, who intercedes (on ehalf of his devotees), the physician, condescend to tervene, destroying serpents and vicious creatures and all evil doers. 6.असौ यस्ताम्रो अरुण उत बभ्रुः सुमङ्गलः । ये चेमार्ग रुद्रा अभितों दिक्षु श्रिताः सहस्रशोऽवैषां हेर्ड ईमहे ॥ ६ ॥Asau yastämro aruna uta babhrussumangalah. Ye cemägm rudra abhito diksu śritäh sahasraśo’ vaisāgm heda imaheWe endeavour to remove the anger of that Lord, who manifests himself in the Sun, who is crimson, red, and orange, the bestower of welfare, and of the other manifestations of Rudra who, in thousands, surround this earth. 7. नमर्मो अस्तु नीलग्रीवाय सहस्राक्षाय॑ मीढुषै । अथो ये अ॑स्य सत्त्वा॑नोऽहं तेभ्योऽकरन्नर्मः ॥ ७ ॥Namo astu nīlagrīvāya sahasrākṣāya midhuse. Atho ye asya sattväno ‘ham tebhyo’ karannamah. prostrate before the thousand-eyed, blue-throated one, who rains mercy on all including his attendants. 8.प्रमुख धन्वंनस्त्वमुभयोरात्रि पोयम्। वार्थहर परा ता भंगवो वप ।। ८ ।।Pramunca dhanvanastvamubhayorärtniyorjyam. Yaicato hasta isavah parā tā bhagavo vapaO Lord! Loosen the string from the ends of your bow and put into your quiver the arrows in your hands. 9.अवतत्य धनुस्त्वं सहस्राक्ष शतैषधे । निशीर्यशल्यानां मुला शिवो नैः सुमना भव ।। ९ ।।Avatatya dhanustvagn sahasraksa śatesudhe. Nikirya śalyänäm mukhā śivo nah sumanā bhava.O Thousand-eyed One! Many-quivered One! Be pleased to unstring the bow, to flatten the ends of the arrows, and become peaceful and well-disposed towards us. 10. विज्यं धर्नुः कपर्दिनो विर्शल्यो बार्णवां उत । अनॆशन्न॒स्येषंव आभुर॑स्य निषंगर्थिः ।। १० ।।Vijyam dhanuh kapardino viśalyo banavågm uta Aneśannasyeşava äbhurasya nişangathih.Let the bow of the Lord with the matted hair be rendered stringless, the quiver arrowless, and arrows infructuous. Let the sheath of his sword not be removed. 11.या ते॑ हेतिर्मीढुष्टम् हस्ते॑ ब॒भूर्व ते धर्नुः । तयाऽस्मान् विश्वत॒स्त्वम॑य॒क्ष्मया परि॑िब्भुज ।। ११ ।।Ya te hetirmidhustama haste babhūva te dhanuh. Taya’smân viśvatastvamayakşmayä paribbhuja.O! Supreme Lord who showers mercy! Protect us from all worldly troubles with the weapons and bow in your hands, which are not for hurting us. 12. नम॑स्ते अ॒स्त्वार्युधायानांतताय धृष्णर्वै । उभाभ्या॑मु॒त ते॒ नमो बाहुभ्यां तव धन्व॑ने ।। १२ ॥Namaste astvāyudhāyā nātatāya dhṛṣnave. Ubhābhyāmuta te namo bahubhyām tava dhanvane.Prostrations to your weapons which are competent to strike but do not strike! Prostrations to your two hands and to your bow. 13. परि ते धन्वंनो हेतिरस्मान्वृणक्तु विश्वर्तः । अथो व ईषुधिस्तारे अ॒स्मन्निधैहि॒ तम् ।। १३ ।।Pari te dhanvano hetir asmänvrnaktu viśvatah. Atho ya işudhistaväre asmannidhehi tam.Let the weapons of your bow liberate us from worldly ills, and let your quiver be directed against our enemies. 14. नमस्ते अस्तु भगवन्विश्वेश्वरार्य महादेवार्य त्र्यम्बकार्य त्रिपुरान्तकार्य त्रिकाग्निकालार्य कालाग्निरुद्रार्य नीलकण्ठाई मृत्युंजयार्य सर्वेश्वरार्य सदाशिवार्य श्रीमन्महादेवाय नमः ।। १४ l lNamaste astu bhagavan viśveśvarāya mahādevāya tryam bakāya tripuräntakäya trikāgnikālāya kālāgnirudraya nilakanthaya mrtyunjayāya sarveśvarāya sadāśivāya śrimanmahādevāya namaḥ. 15. नमो हिर॑ण्यबाहवे सेना॒न्यै दिशां च॒ पत॑य॒ नमो नमर्मो वृक्षेभ्यो हरिकेशेभ्यः पशूनां पर्तये नमो नर्मः सस्पिअ॑राय त्विषर्षीमते पथीनां पर्तये नमो ।। Namo hiranyabähave senānye diśām ca pataye namo namo vṛkṣebhyo harikeśebhyaḥ paśūnām pataye namo namah saspiñjarāya tvişimate pathīnām pataye namoProstrations to the golden-armed commander of forces, the Lord of all quaters.
