Shri Nagni Mata Temple
This temple is dedicated to Nagni Mata, a serpent goddess revered for protection from snakebites and skin diseases. Religious Significance Devotees believe that Nagni Mata protects against snake bites, poisons, and skin diseases. The holy clay (called “shakkar”) from the temple is taken by devotees and applied on snakebite wounds and even at home entrances to keep snakes away. A large fair, known as the Nagni Mela, is held every Saturday during the Hindu months of Shravan and Bhadrapada (usually July to September), where thousands gather for rituals and blessings.
