Brhaspatirtanutämimam ihamädayantam. no viśve devaDhanurdharayai vidmahe sarvasiddhyai ca dhimahi. Tanno dhara pracodayat.May mind and light rejoice in the oblation. May bring together this scattered sacrifice. May haspati extend it. May all the gods rejoice here. I template on the mother earth, the bearer of the bow for success in all my endeavours. May she who bears all burdens, (mother earth) inspire our intelligence (to meditate on her). 3. मेदिनी देवी वसुन्धरा स्याद्वसुंधा देवी वासवी । ब्रह्मवर्चसः पितृणाम् श्रोत्रं चक्षुर्मनः । देवी हिर॑ज्यगर्भिणी देवी प्रसूर्वरी । सर्दने सत्यार्यने सीद । समुद्रव॑ती सावित्रीह् नो देवी मह्यङ्गीं। महीधरंणी महोव्यर्थिष्ठा-श्शून्ने शृङ्गे यज्ञे य॑ज्ञे विभीषिर्णी । इन्द्र॑पत्नी व्यापिनीं सुरर्सरिदिह । वायुमर्ती जलशयेनी श्रियंधाराजा॑ स॒त्यन्धोपरिमेदिनी । श्वोपरि॑िधत्तं परि॑िगाय ।।॥ ३ ॥Mëdini dēvī vasundhara syädvasudhā dēvi văsavi Brahmavarcasa: pitrņāg śrotram cakşurmanah. Hiranyagarbhini and Prasoovari (One who bestows wealth). Bhu Devi, who is ever lustrous Divine, provides the sustenance for all five sense organs in all beings.Bhu Devi is also referred to as Samudravati (Consort of the Ocean God), Savitri (One having a magnificent form) and Indravati. We worship Goddess Mahi, who is also referred to as Vishnu Patni (Consort of Vishnu) and Pratichi (The one who reigns over all the directions) by offering our oblations. We prayerfully worship the Goddess who bestows merit, name and fame on his devotees and whose glory is sung even by Lord Vishnu, who in His incarnation as Vamana had encompassed the earth, sky and the vast ether with his three steps.
