Brhaspatirtanutämimam ihamädayantam. no viśve devaDhanurdharayai vidmahe sarvasiddhyai ca dhimahi. Tanno dhara pracodayat.May mind and light rejoice in the oblation. We worship Goddess Mahi, who is also referred to as Vishnu Patni (Consort of Vishnu) and Pratichi (The one who reigns over all the directions) by offering our oblations. We prayerfully worship the Goddess who bestows merit, name and fame on his devotees and whose glory is sung even by Lord Vishnu, who in His incarnation as Vamana had encompassed the earth, sky and the vast ether with his three steps.
