Nama Ramayanam consists of 108 Shlokas and similar to complete Ramayana, Nama Ramayanam has seven chapters which are divided into Balakandah, Ayodhyakandah, Kishkindhakandah, Sunderkandah, Yuddhakandah and Uttarakandah.

Lokabhi Ramam लोकाभिरामं रणरङ्गधीरं राजीवनेत्रं रघुवंशनाथम् ।कारुण्यरुपं करुणाकरंतं श्रीरामचंद्रं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ lokābhirāmaṃ raṇaraṅgadhīraṃ rājīvanetraṃ raghuvaṃśanātham .kāruṇyarupaṃ karuṇākarantaṃ śrīrāmacandraṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye .. (i take refuge in Sri Rama) who is pleasing to the people, who is calm and composed in the battle field, whose eyes are like blue lotuses, and who is the lord of the raghu dynasty,who is an embodiment of compassion and shower his compassion to all; i take refuge in the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra.

You are the destroyer of poverty in the battle of life and the bestower of devotees’ wishes. You are the daughter of the King of Videha, Janaka, and the source of joy to Raghava, Śrī Rāma. भूमेर्दुहितरं विद्यां नमामि प्रकृतिं शिवाम्पौलस्त्यैश्वर्यसंहत्रीं भक्ताभीष्टां सरस्वतीम् bhūmer duhitaraṃ vidyāṃ namāmi prakṛtiṃ śivāmpaulastyaiśvaryasaṃhatrīṃ bhaktābhīṣṭāṃ sarasvatīm I salute you, the daughter of the Earth and the embodiment of knowledge. You are the auspicious Prakriti. You destroyed the power and supremacy of oppressors like Ravana and fulfil the wishes of devotees. You are full of grace, the embodiment of prosperity, pure and sinless, and dearly beloved of Hari. आत्मविद्यां त्रयीरूपामुमारूपां नमाम्यहम्प्रसादाभिमुखीं लक्ष्मीं क्षीराब्धितनयां शुभाम् ātmavidyāṃ trayīrūpām umārūpāṃ namāmyahamprasādābhimukhīṃ lakṣmīṃ kṣīrābdhitanayāṃ śubhām I salute you, the embodiment of Atma Vidya revealed in the three Vedas. You are of the nature of Devi Uma. You are auspicious Lakshmi, born of the ocean of milk, ever inclined to bestow grace upon devotees. नमामि चन्द्रभगिनीं सीतां सर्वाङ्गसुन्दरीम्नमामि धर्मनिलयां करुणां वेदमातरम् namāmi candrabhaginīṃ sītāṃ sarvāṅgasundarīmnamāmi dharmanilayāṃ karuṇāṃ vedamātaram I salute you, radiant like the sister of the Moon. You are Sita, beautiful in every limb. You are the abode of Dharma, full of compassion, and the mother of the Vedas. पद्मालयां पद्महस्तां विष्णुवक्षःस्थलालयाम्नमामि चन्द्रनिलयां सीतां चन्द्रनिभाननाम् padmālayāṃ padmahastāṃ viṣṇuvakṣaḥsthalālayāmnamāmi candranilayāṃ sītāṃ candranibhānanām I salute you, who dwell in the lotus, hold the lotus in your hands, and reside eternally in the heart of Vishnu. You abide in the lunar sphere, O Sita, whose face shines like the moon. आह्लादरूपिणीं सिद्धिं शिवां शिवकरीं सतीम्नमामि विश्वजननीं रामचन्द्रेष्टवल्लभाम्सीतां सर्वानवद्याङ्गीं भजामि सततं हृदा āhlādarūpiṇīṃ siddhiṃ śivāṃ śivakarīṃ satīmnamāmi viśvajananīṃ rāmacandreṣṭavallabhāmsītāṃ sarvānavadyāṅgīṃ bhajāmi satataṃ hṛdā I salute you, whose form bestows joy, auspiciousness, and spiritual fulfilment. Devi Janaki is the destroyer of all sins, poverty and bestower of the wishes of her devotees. She is the daughter of the Earth and embodiment of knowledge, destroyer of power and supremacy.

Adau Rama Tapovanadi आदौ राम तपोवनादि गमनं हत्वा मृगं कांचनंवैदेही हरणं जटायु मरणं सुग्रीव संभाषणम् ।वाली निग्रहणं समुद्र तरणं लंकापुरी दाहनंपश्चात् रावण कुंभकर्ण हननं एतध्दि रामायणम्।। ādau rāma tapovanādi gamanaṃ hatvā mṛgaṃ kāṃcanaṃvaidehī haraṇaṃ jaṭāyu maraṇaṃ sugrīva saṃbhāṣaṇam .vālī nigrahaṇaṃ samudra taraṇaṃ laṃkāpurī dāhanaṃpaścāt rāvaṇa kuṃbhakarṇa hananaṃ etadhdi rāmāyaṇam.. Commencing with Rama’s going to the sacrificial spot, killing the golden deer, the abduction of Vaidehi, death of Jatayu, conversation with Sugriva, burning of Lanka, then the annihilation of Ravana and Kumbhakarna – this is the traditional Ramayana.
