Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – On Sathya

Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – With Sathya 1. Truth and Brahma Tattwa can never be changed: Brahmam Garu Explanation Your browser does not support the audio element. 1996-07-31 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description The words of truth spoken might die but the truth remains eternal. Likewise the nature of Brahman is changeless. The principle of Brahman is everlasting. It exists in the form of sound, light, movement, awareness, conscience and consciousness. How can one decide the exact form of Brahman? All forms are present in this truth. Vedanta has been propounding this aspect. A great sage who is popular in Andhra Pradesh is known by the name ‘Brahmam garu’. In his teachings, “Yeruku marapu anakunda, nirathamu jagrath swapna susuhpti yendu kudanu, aramaralu lekunda yepudu, tarachuganu jeevAtma janavidedi Tarakam!!” Without remembering or forgetfulness, Always in the three stages of wakefulness, dream and deep sleep, Always without any disturbance or interruption, The frequent merging of the individual soul with the Divine is Tarakam!! It means that Tarakam is not one with either with the five senses or the five elements or with the five sheaths or with the five life forces. It has nothing to do with the five life forces namely ‘prana’, ‘apana’, ‘vyaana’, ‘udanana’ and ‘samana’. All these pertain to the body and not to the Atma. The principle of Brahman is all pervasive. That which dwells in all forms is Brahman. It exists in all the matter. Everything is matter. What is this body? This body too is matter.   2. Never give up truth in lIfe Your browser does not support the audio element. 1996-07-31 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description Brahman is the principle of oneness; it does not exist separately. “Yekam sath, viprah bahuda vadanti.” truth is one but scholars refer to it as many. Truth is one not two. “Yekam yeva adviteeyam Brahma” truth is only one not two. Such divinity is present in all. It cannot be said that the divine principle exists in one and does not in another. Hence “Eshwara sarva bhootanam”, God is present in every being. Students must believe in this truth firmly. In what form is God present in all? He is present in the form of love in all. Love is present in all. Swami has been reiterating it many times: “Prem eshwar hai, eashwar prem hai”- God is love and love is God. Sacred love is the divine form. Therefore one must keep this love pure and sacred. This love must not be materialistic and worldly; it must only be related to the spirit. Atma, the self is love and love is atma. Atma is God and God is love. Hence “Love is god, live in love!”   4. Truth and love are basis for our life

Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – On Sadhana

Example Title This is an example for subtitle Learn More Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – With Sadhana 1. How to go through the path of Vanaprastha Your browser does not support the audio element. 1996-07-31 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description The Vanaprastham stage is full of austerities. Vanaprastham precedes the Sanyasa stage. It is possible to lead the Sanyasa path correctly only when one’s conduct and behaviour in Vanaprastham is proper. Both husband and wife must leave the home and travel northwards in the forest. Leaving their home, the wife and husband, must travel northwards till their death. They must not live in places which have walls or the roof. The life of Vanaprastha is that of continuing on the chosen path in spite of being exposed to rain and sun. The wife and the husband lead the life in the forest as brother and sister. Commencing from the full moon day they must gradually cut down the food intake morsel by morsel. By the new moon day they must stop taking food altogether. From new moon day onwards they must increase their food intake morsel by morsel and by full moon day they must stop food intake. If any kind householder wants to serve food to the Vanaprastha, it must not be served in plates. The Vanaprastha should not dine in other’s homes. They must take the food on a leaf, eat it outside and discard the leaf. The people leading the life of Vanaprastha stage observed such severe and strict austerities.   2. Do Sadhana to earn the grace of God and not for the praise of others Your browser does not support the audio element. 1986-11-21 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description Without sanctifying one’s heart, any number of spiritual practises that one undertakes viz. Japa (chanting), tapa (penance), dhyana (meditation) etc will not yield fruit. It is well known to everybody that if one decides to have idly and sambar for breakfast, one tends to get the fresh vegetables that are available nearby, good quality lentils, fresh tamarind, and all the other ingredients necessary for making Sambar. But even after ensuring the freshness of the ingredients used, if one gets nausea on eating the sambar then there must be something wrong with the vessel in which sambar has been made. Likewise, when one takes to meditation, japa, and properly sung bhajans with a heart bereft of love, those practises turn into poison. Therefore, first and fore mostly, one must fill one’s heart with love. Without love in the heart all the practises become null and void.   4. Awake, arise stop not till the goal is reached

Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – On Ramayana

Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – With Ramayana 1. Valmiki, Lava and Kusha’s role in spreading Ramakatha Your browser does not support the audio element. 1997-07-19 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description One day Sage Valmiki, who wrote Ramayana, was sitting in front of the Ramayana and was lost in deep thought. He thought, “I have composed this sacred text. In order to see that it is known to everybody, I must propagate it. Who can propagate this?” At that time two young boys came running to him. They were Lava and Kusa. They asked, “Guruji! What are you brooding over?” “Son, I have written the sacred story of Rama. This must be publicized in the society. The ideals must be taught to the society. The divine glory of Rama should spread all over the world. The noble character of Rama must be made known to every person. I am thinking as to who would be the right person to do it.” Both the boys with folded hands said, “Guruji! We have life. We are your disciples. We are ready to shed our blood for you. We are ready to dedicate our lives in your service. Order us, we shall propagate it.” Sage Valmiki started to shed tears in pure ecstasy. He was overcome with happiness at seeing such young boys exhibiting such scared feelings of sacrifice and nobility. He said, “Boys! Do not delay, as delay amounts to poison! You may start propagating right from tomorrow.” Sage Valmiki taught these two boys. An earthen pot filled with poison is much better than a golden vessel filled with nectar or poison. An earthen pot filled with nectar is much better than a golden one filled with nectar! Human body is perishable just like an earthen pot. God has filled this earthen pot with the nectar of noble character and sacredness. Therefore this body is an earthen pot full of nectar!! This, one must invite. One must discard even a golden vessel if it is filled with poison. Here what is the said ‘golden vessel’? What is the vessel filled with poison? This material world, filled with all conveniences, comforts, pleasures, shines like gold. It is full of poison of sensual pleasure!! Is this the gold that we seek? No! God resides in the altar of our heart. God is not outside in pilgrim centres, like Badrinath or Kedarnath or Tirupathi or in Prashanthi Nilayam!! The absolute, total controller is in our hearts!! So where is God? He dwells in our hearts. One need not search for Him anywhere. God is present in each one’s heart. Though human body is like an earthen pot, it is highly sacred. This body should not be mindful of the attachments or respect or esteem. One should enjoy the bliss of God. Sage Valmiki said, “Be men of sacrifice and go forth.” In a moments time they wore ochre robes, adorned themselves with ‘rudraksha’ beads and with the ‘tambura’, the musical instrument, in their hands, got ready to stride ahead. They went about every street, singing, “O Listen, to the story of Rama!!” Such a spirit of sacrifice at that tender age!! Such detachment!! It was the work of Sage Valmiki that made them so.   2. Secret of Hanuman

Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – On Philosophical concepts

Divine Words of wisdom by Sathya Sai Baba – On Philosophical concepts 1. I will explain Vedanta extensively to you all Your browser does not support the audio element. 1996-07-31 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description Bhagawan has started Vedanta in a simple way today. Every word and mantra in it has got immense meaning. Vedantam is very easy to understand. Bhagawan will explain every word in detail so as to make every one understand it. Ultimately the entire essence of Vedanta would not even be an inch long but within it there are about fifteen thousand mantras. Bhagawan says that He would show it. This explanation can be given only by God himself and not possible by others. 2. What is Amanaskamu in Vedanta Your browser does not support the audio element. 1996-07-31 Document Download Audio Social Share Facebook Twitter Youtube Instagram Description What is meant by ‘Tarakam’? It is ‘Khechari’, ‘Vechari’, ‘Madhyama’ and the true essence ‘Bhagawati’. One must try to analyse the essence of these four aspects. What is the meaning of ‘Tarakam’? Many people have described it in many ways. There are five signs in this. One should know clearly the five signs, ‘Pancha Mudras’. One should know these five signs, research and investigate them properly, experience them, then determine the necessary and the unnecessary and brush aside the unnecessary; have a vision of Nadabindu and realise the ‘hamsatwa’, later on experience the state of sath-chit-ananda on earth—this sums up ‘Tarakam’. Immersing and concentrating the human mind in the principle of sath-chit-ananda, the ultimate bliss is called as ‘Tarakam’.   4. As is your feeling so is your vision
