The word “Avatar” comes from a Sanskrit word that means “descent” and it refers to when a deity manifests in an earthly embodiment. It is mentioned in the Srimad Bhagwad Puran that a time might come when man might even count the atoms on this earth , yet The Glories of the Lord ; innumerable they are , can never be counted . An Avatar is the King of Kings , the Master of All Masters & The Guru of All Gurus , Omnipotent - Omnicient & Omnipresent , He is Parabhraman and is Narayan come as Nar . He is inconceivable to the human mind and , however man may try to unravel the mystery it will always be beyond comprehension .

Of the nine types of devotion listed in the Narada Bhakti Sutra, Shravanam (hearing the name of God), Kirthanam (chanting the name of God) and Vishnusmaranam (remembering the name of Lord) are the foremost. All of them pertain to the realm of devotional music . The Lord has so often declared, “I always stay where My devotees sing of Me. God is extolled as “Ganapriya”- lover of music. When singing with fervour, the music that pleases the lord is relished in the mind of the participants. This helps in driving out the bad thoughts from the mind.
